notes: DAMN I'M BACK! I'm sorry but I had a HUGE writing block. Also: english is not my first language so pls let me know If there'S something I can correct :)
My day was unbelievable fucked. I woke up too late, got detention because i talked to my friends while Snape was teaching us something, i spilled my food over my clothes.. twice.. after that I fell from my broomstick at the quidditch training and now i sat with Hermione, Ron and Harry in the Great Hall eating.
„Yo y/n can I copy your homework later? I got -" Ron startet but i interrupted him "Yeah yeah whatever.. guys I‘m gonna go to bed okay? See you after this." Hermione and me shared a room so I would see her later.
I rushed to our dorm, getting rid of my dirty clothes. God I needed a shower, now. I took my clothes, shower stuff and towels and started to walk towards one of the big bathrooms.
Because I wanted more privacy, I did go to one that not many students know about. Hermione once told me about it as she talked about Hogwarts in first grade.
As I walked inside, I checked If someone‘s here but I was alone. I took off my clothes and stood under one of the showers more in the corner and let the water run down my body. I sighed as I felt it on my skin, finally feeling more relaxed.
My thoughts started drifting after a while as my hands glided over my body. Damn my muscles are really sore. When was even the last time I had sex? I think it was like 3 months ago with a guy from Ravenclaw. He looked promising but merlin was I feeling disappointed after.
I couldn‘t even touch myself cause I was always around people, sharing rooms together and shit.
I bit my lip as I looked at that shower head above me. Nah I couldn‘t.. could I? Did I even have time? I mean I was in here already for like 20 minutes so I had to be in my room before curfew but god damn I was so desperate.
Oh fuck it – what is one more detention, right? I took the shower head, letting my other hand slowling wandering over my nipples. I whimpered slightly at the feeling, realising now how desperate I really was.
I took the shower head and put it where I needed it the most. My thoughts drifted again and I tried to think about someone but no face appeared until - fuck no, I can‘t think about him.. but before I could debate more with myself, his name left my lips.
"Fuck Mattheo.." my lips parted and my breathing got heavier. Merlin was I already about to cum? How pathetic, I didn‘t even touch myself properly but that kind of didn‘t matter as the next words left my mouth. "Shit.. please" i begged into the foggy air around me.
"Damn Princess.." My blood got cold and my body tensed to a point where I couldn‘t move. I swallowed as I opened my eyes and saw Mattheo Riddle standing right in front of me. The one who‘s name I just moaned.
I tried to hide my body behind my hands, a little too late. "Fuck Riddle what the hell are you doing here?!" I asked him angry. Once because I stood there completley naked and he didn‘t even tried not to look and second for my again – non existing orgasm.
He looked shamelessly over my body, scanning every inch of my skin. He had a towel hanging low on his hips, which didnt really helped the state i was in right now.
" I could ask you the same but I think I just heard what you did.." he smirked arrogant and looked at my face. "You know you could have just asked If you wanted my help."
I rolled my eyes at him as I took one of my towels from the side to hide my body but as I did I had to let go which leaded him to look at my breasts. I saw him licking his lips, looking up at my face again as I wrapped the towel around myself.
"Just because your name is Mattheo, doesn‘t mean I was thinking about you."
He grinned again, coming closer to me slowly. "Oh yeah? Then who did you mean?" I tried to think about an different Mattheo but there was no one in this school I knew with that name – besides him.
He just stood one inch away from me now, backing me into the shower again until my back hit the wall.
"Princess.. i know you did think about me, there‘s no shame in telling." I started nibbling on my bottom lip as a signal to being nervous. God he smelled so good and his face looked even more handsome now that the single drops of water fell onto his face from his still wet hair.
"And what If I was? Are you going to tell all your stupid little friends?" He chuckled "No.." his face came even closer now "just let me help you out with that." I swallowed down a clump in my troath as he said that. My pride was way too big for him to just come here and fuck me like that..right?
"Hell no I -" "Why not huh? I saw how desperate your little body looked as you just begged for more.. let me help you with that, I‘m gonna make you cum within the first minutes." Now his arrogant smile was back, his breath hitting my lips now.
"Yeah all of you boys say that, leaving me unsatisfied after." I huffed, looking away from his piercing eyes.
"Let‘s make a deal little one.. I‘m gonna eat you out and If I don‘t make you cum within the, lets say: five minutes? I‘ll leave and never bother you again.."
I looked at his lips while he was talking. They looked so soft and kissable – fuck was I really considering what he said? I mean he‘s a Riddle and a stupid little fucker but maybe that‘s just what I needed right now. Stupid little Fucker named Mattheo Riddle.
"And what If you make me cum?" i looked up at his eyes again. He towered his head over mine grinning, coming down to my ear and whispered "..then you‘re mine for the night." He smiled almost devilish and I know I should‘ve said no but damn 3 months were starting to get the best of me.
"Deal." It felt like as If I just signed up for the devil. His smile grew at my words and he pushed me against the wall this time, unwrapping the towel i just put on.
"Damn your body looks so good, just perfect for me to eat." Shivers went down my spine at his words right towards my - " I hope you know what you just got yourself into." Suddenly he took me by my hips, lifting me up against the wall again as I wrapped my legs around his hips.
"It‘s kind of unfair that you still have your towel on, don‘t you think?“ "Oh don‘t worry princess, it‘s coming off very soon."
He took one hand away from supporting my ass, to my cheek. He looked deep into my eyes, almost staring into my soul. He closed the gap between us, kissing me like no boy ever did before in my whole life. The kiss was passionate, heated and longing. Almost as If we would seperate, we couldn‘t breathe.
I felt the tip of his tounge slide over my bottom lip which made me moan slightly. He smiled against my lips and pressed himself harder against me.
I opened my mouth slowly, which he took as a opportunity to explore my mouth with his tounge fighting over control with mine.
He let go of my lips what almost costed me a whimper but I pressed my lips together. He took me by my hips again, lifting me higher until I sat on his shoulders, my eyes going wide. Damn I don‘t think I need 5 minutes.
"You ready?" he mumbled against my inner tight he started kissing softly with his wet lips. I just let out a deep breathe and nodded, putting my hands on his hair.
He started kissing higher up until his mouth was just an inch away from my pussy. "5 Minutes are alredy starting" I chocked out, but in reality I just wanted him so start.
I could feel him grinning like an little ass but these thoughts were thrown out of the window as his tounge touched my clit.
I held in my breathe for a second as he started to kitten lick my clit and massaging my tights with his hands. I buckled against his face but he was faster and backed away. I let out a desperate whine at the loss of contact.
"Beg me.." he told me looking up at me with his chocolate brown eyes. Shit who was I even to deny that? Now wasn‘t really the moment for too much pride. "Please.." He raised his eyebrows " Please what?" "Please eat me out Mattheo, I need it - please.."
Satisfied with my answer he licked flat over my pussy, focusing on my clit again as he started to suck it. "Oh my-" my lips parted and my hands flew into his hair again, pressing his face deeper between my legs.
"Fuck that feels good" i moaned and arched my back off the wall as I felt something deep down in my stomach. Shit he didn‘t even do much but give my clit some attention - really good attention - and I was already close again.
I felt his hand going under my tight and his thumb being places on my clit. He moved his finger in circular motions, sliding his tounge to by entrance, fucking me with it.
"M-mattheo please!“ shamelessly i bucked my hips and cried out his name.
"You close baby?" he asked, mumbling against my wet skin. I just nodded breathless until I felt a sharp and powerful feeling in my abdomen.
It completely crushed me. Everything around me went black for a few seconds and I couldnt hear anything. I just came so hard on Mattheo‘s tounge that I didn‘t even realise where I was for a short moment.
I looked down on me, looking in Mattheo‘s eyes, already looking at me. "You taste so good baby."
He slowly lets me down again but holds me as we both notice how weak my knees are. "Damn I didnt expect that.." i breathe out and look at his lips, still glistening from my juices.
"I think you lost our deal.." he grinned and startet slowly kissing my neck. I chuckle, nodding just slowly, thinking about how much I actually want him and not caring about the fact that I lost.
"..but you don‘t really seem to care huh." he grins and slowly rubs my back before turning me around so I faced the wall. "Hands on the wall baby." No matter what he said, I always heard him smiling. Smug little ass. "Spread your legs princess, that's it.. wider." My stomach twisted at his vulgar words, never ever did a boy talk to me like that.
I did as he said, spread my legs even wider while my hands touched the cold wall. "Hmm now arch your back for me."
I felt his hands slither around my waist down to my lover stomach. Every touch of his send shivers down my spine. Suddenly, I felt his breath against my ear, his lips kissing the shell of it as he murmurs with a deep voice. "I'm going to fuck every last thought out of this pretty little head." "Stop teasing me and do it!"
He chuckles darkly and I feel the tips of his fingers wandering slowly over my pussy. "Do you really think you're in a position to give orders?" Goosebumps.
As I didn't answer him he lightly brushed his finger over my clit, making me shiver again, while brushing soft kisses across my back.
"Please." I let out a whimper, arching my back just a little more and pushing my hips into his body. Then, I felt him at my entrance, pressing the tip of his cock against my clit, just where his fingers had been a second ago.
"Beg. Fucking let me hear how much you want this cock." he whispers into my ear, his hot breath hitting my ear. My whole body shudders and I can't help it but do as he tells me to.
"Mattheo please I need you. I need to feel you, I'll do anything." I feel myself almost crying from the frustration and arousal. "Good Girl." he groans before he slowly enters me. Fuck.
"Oh Shit baby, you feel so tight." Mattheo grunted shamelessly as my walls clenched around him. My breathing got heavy and I bite my bottom lip to hide my moans.
"Don't hold back." he commands and just so, I let my lip go and whimper out his name.
"Hmm just like that princess." He pushes further inside of me, groaning at the feeling. I feel so full of him, I can't think straight besides of him and how good he feels.
Abruptly he started moving his hips fast an hard against my ass, leaving my mouth hanging wide open. " Oh fuck, Mattheo!" I cried out at the sensation. His hand started to wander up and down my body, over my back, my stomach, my tits - playing with my nipples.
"What, you want gentle? Wrong fucking address." God where has he been all these months? It feels like he just fills that hole inside of me - literally.
I hear him panting behind me, not slowing down with the movement of his hips. "Shit I would've fucked you way sooner If knew you had such a tight little pussy, just waiting for me to come and fuck it sore."
I hiss as he takes my hair into his fist and yanks my head backwards so It would lay against his shoulder while my back is still arched and he presses me against him. My hands roam over his arm that holds me in the middle of my body and I close my eyes. I'm definitely gonna be sore tomorrow.
I felt him changing the angle of his hips a little and my eyes almost bulged out of my head. "Oh my god!" I almost scream, forgetting that someone could hear us, even tho not many know about this bathroom. "Fuck yes, I feel you clenching around me princess. Does that feel good hm?" he teases and bites my neck gently.
Words coiled inside my throat, coming out as broken sobs, telling him I'm wanting more. "You're still holding back, just let go."
So I screamed his name again, over and over again, until I felt a sharp pang in my stomach. His hand let go of my body, his second hand still in my hair. He grabbed the shower head and turned the pressure higher before he holded it right against my clit.
I was a whimpering and sobbing mess at this point, begging him to let me come. "Look at me. I wanna see you coming around my cock." He tugs at my hair and my eyes roll back to look into his, which gave me the rest I just needed to come.
Looking into his eyes made my walls clench around him again, leaving his mouth hanging wide open. "Shit.." he grunted and closed his eyes as his rhythm became more erratic. Just as I slowly came down from my high, I felt him pulling out of me and coming all over my back, spreading his hot cum.
"Fucking hell.." he breathed out and slowly let go of my hair and hanging the shower head back onto the wall after washing his cum off of my back. I turned around and looked up at him, smiling slightly.
"What? Did I fuck out all your negative energy?" he chuckled, pressing me against him again with one of his arms. I roll my eyes at his comment but still I couldn't hide my smile. "I have something for you.." he said, now he's smiling like a little devil.
I look at him confused which he answers me with his fingers in front of my mouth. I look down at them and gasp as I see his cum on them. "Come on, open up baby.." I didn't knew why but again I did as he said and parted my lips. He pushed his fingers inside my mouth and grins. "Suck them."
I started sucking on his fingers and swirling my tongue around them, tasting his salty cum. His eyes rolled back a little and I saw him shuddering for a moment. "Damn, you wanna suck my cock maybe?"
I did let go of them and chuckled as I pressed myself pass his body to wrap my towel around my wet body. " Maybe next time.."
"Oh so you wanna do this more often, huh?"
Oh and how we both didn't knew at that moment how often actually.

Could you please write an imagine having a toddler with Snape and asking him if he wants another kid and after a lot of thinking/debating with himself he tells you he wants to start trying for a second and you tell him it’s too late to try because you already are pregnant but didn’t know how to tell him?
Thank you so much in advance!!!
MORE TO LOVE
pairing : severus snape x fem!reader
genre : fluff
summary : as in the request
you and severus sit quietly in the living room after your toddler has been tucked into bed. the faint sound of their soft breathing can be heard from the next room, and the evening is peaceful. you watch him as he absently flips through a book, his fingers lightly tapping the pages. there’s something about the calm, shared silence that makes you feel at ease, but there's a thought in your mind you can't quite shake.
finally, you break the silence, your voice soft. "severus," you begin, your tone playful but gentle. "have you ever thought about having another child?"
he doesn’t look up from his book at first, but you can see his brow furrow slightly. his voice is cautious, as though considering every word carefully. "another?" he repeats, the slight edge of doubt in his tone. "do you think we’ve even survived having one child, y/n? are you truly asking me to go through this chaos again?"
you chuckle softly, but there's a warmth in your heart. you know he’s not being entirely serious, but he’s definitely considering it. your mind races, wondering how he’ll react to what you haven’t yet told him.
"well," you continue, inching closer to him, "our little one does love you... and you’re a great father. maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, having another. the house would be a bit more lively, don’t you think?"
he sighs, rubbing his temples like he’s mentally preparing for a battle. you can tell he’s really debating this, something deep in his chest fighting with the idea of taking on more responsibility. "i suppose the idea of another... doesn’t sound entirely impossible," he admits slowly. "though, i’d prefer not to add more sleepless nights or tantrums into the mix."
you smile softly at him, your heart swelling with love for the way he’s trying to think through everything. "i think we could manage. we’d figure it out, just like we did the first time."
he looks over at you then, searching your face. for a moment, there’s a brief silence before he exhales a long, quiet breath, looking down at his hands. "perhaps if you truly want to try, i could... i could try, too. to start trying, that is."
you smile, the tension in your chest lifting. he’s agreeing. he’s considering it. but now, comes the hardest part. you’ve been sitting on this secret for weeks, and now feels like the right moment to share it. you look at him with a mischievous glint in your eye.
"severus," you say softly, your hand resting gently over your stomach. "it’s already too late to try."
his brow furrows. "too late?" he repeats, clearly confused. "what do you mean?"
you take a deep breath, trying to contain the excitement building inside you. slowly, you guide his hand to rest on your stomach, the secret you've been carrying now no longer a secret. you watch his face, feeling your heart race.
"i’m pregnant," you whisper, your voice barely audible.
he freezes. his eyes widen, and for a moment, he doesn’t speak. the surprise takes him completely off guard, and you watch as the weight of it slowly settles in. you can’t help but smile as he stares at you, his usual composure gone, replaced by something so much softer.
"you’re... pregnant?" he repeats in disbelief, his hand still resting on your stomach, his thumb brushing over the fabric of your shirt as if he’s trying to confirm it himself.
you nod, your heart fluttering as you watch him process the news. "yes," you say, your voice gentle. "i didn’t know how to tell you... but here it is."
severus doesn’t say anything at first, and for a long moment, all you can hear is the steady rhythm of his breath. his eyes flicker down to your stomach again, then back up to your face, his lips slightly parted as if he’s searching for the right words.
"well," he finally murmurs, the corner of his mouth quirking up ever so slightly. "i suppose i should be grateful i didn’t have to start trying, then." his tone is dry as usual, but there’s an underlying softness there, a hint of something more vulnerable than usual.
you laugh, reaching up to touch his cheek. "i knew you’d come around," you tease, a soft warmth spreading through you. "looks like we’re having another one."
snape lets out a breath, his eyes meeting yours with something almost tender in them. "we’re going to need more than just two hands for this," he says, a hint of genuine amusement in his voice now.
as you rest your head against his chest, you realize that no matter how much he tries to hide it, severus is already more than ready. he just needed to hear it from you first.

Pandora wasn’t always friends with her brother’s friends. Evan never purposely excluded her, of course, but they were in different houses and Pandora was alright being on her own anyway. She really didn’t mind being alone. It was nice actually. She was quite content with her own company. Her thoughts were a constant chatter in her mind, she could have a full long debates and conversations with just herself.
Sometime in her third year, Pandora was walking along in the hallway, occasionally mumbling aloud as she worked out a problem in her head. She just couldn’t get this one spell right that she had been working on. She knew the answer would eventually come to her, it just was taking longer than she expected this time.
Somebody harshly bumped into her, sending her roughly into a wall. The books she had been carrying flew everywhere and scattered across the ground.
Pandora looked over to see who had collided with her and saw a group of three Slytherin boys walking away and snickering.
“Excuse me,” she called after them, “Are you alright?”
The boys stopped in their tracks and turned around slowly.
Oh, she knew them. Mulciber, Avery, and Snape. She had heard many complaints from her brother about how obnoxious the older Slytherins were.
“What?” One of them asked, looked genuinely confused. Ah poor boy, perhaps he needs to get his hearing checked as well as his eyes.
“I asked if you are alright.” Pandora explained slowly so that they understood.
The boy, Mulciber, she thinks, scoffed. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Well you crashed into me, despite this being quite a large hallway. So I figured you might be injured in some way since you clearly cannot walk or see properly. Or is it a mental problem? Do you need me to get Madam Pomfrey?”
The boy’s eyes widened in rage. He strode forward and pushed her into the wall again.
“Why you little-“
“Hey! Get away from her!”
Pandora calmly raised her wand and said clearly, “Flosfaciem.”
The older boy’s looked confused for a moment. Then, suddenly, a flower began to grow out of his skin, right next to his nose. He didn’t notice it at first. Then a flower grew on his forehead. Then his cheek. His chin. Right above his eye.
Soon he began to scream as his entire face had sprouted little flowers.
“GET IT OFF! WHAT IS HAPPENING? GET THE BLOODY THINGS OFF!”
The three boys ran away, hopefully toward the hospital wing.
“Oh. So it does work.” Pandora commented to herself happily, putting away her wand. She turned around and saw three other boys staring at her in shock.
Evan still had his wand raised from when he had been about to curse Mulciber. His two friends, Barty and Regulus, stood next to him looking equally wary and impressed.
“What the bloody hell just happened?” Barty asked, aghast.
“I figured out that spell I had been working on!” Pandora exclaimed excitedly, “I was pretty sure I had it right but I didn’t have anything to test it on so I couldn’t be sure. But it was definitely right! It worked perfectly!”
“So sorry to interrupt. That is great, fabulous, really. Just checking here, are you saying that you just invented a spell? And used Mulciber as your guinea pig?”
Pandora scowled, “I would never use an animal to experiment. That’s just cruel. They haven’t done anything.”
Evan’s other friend, Regulus, interrupted Barty before he could say anything else.
“That was incredible. Do you think you could teach me that spell?”
Pandora beamed, “Of course!”
Pandora and Regulus began to walk together and discuss different spells Pandora had invented or was working on. Before they rounded the corner, she heard Barty remark to her brother, “Damn Rosier. Why didn’t you tell us your sister is so cool?”
Pandora wasn’t alone after that. And she found that not being alone was nice too.

could you do a fic with mattheo x y/n including the words, i wish i'd never met you. maybe like they got in a fight and now he's trying to comfort her, but she doesn't want to hear it? thank you so much, i love your content
A/N: thank you for the submission 😊 I hope you like this, it is angst haha.
Pairing: Mattheo x Fem!Reader
The Arguement
He could be so infurating! He could make your blood boil, both in a good way but mostly a bad way. Mattheo Riddle might be your endearing boyfriend, yet he got on your nerves more then ever after you got together. It was all sweet and dream like to start. It began with parchment notes in class then small conversations at meal times. You even began to sit with his friends, and soon Pansy Parkinson became a good friend.
With time and a few dates Mattheo had some red flags begin to show. Yet wearing rose colour glasses, you made excues or turned a blind eye to them. And once you gained the title of Mattheo Riddle’s Girlfriend those red flags grew more. He could be jealouse or rude to males around you or who gave you the time of day, was possesive, could be demanding, ignore you for days, just to name a few.
Which brings us back to the current moment of another school day at Hogwarts. Classes were done for the day but you and Pansy had taken to the Library to study for Snape’s potions test tomorrow. Being Slytherin gave those students in that house some brownie points with Snape, but do poorly in his class and you might as well pack your bags. Snape had pride in Slytherin, so expectations were high.
Things had been going well in the Library. Pansy was greatful for your help, as you were a bit more put together then her. And the extra study was beneficial for you. Over the hour you both were there, you were joined by other Slytherin students who were panicing. Among them was Jordan Allen and Gil Williams. They were both nice and respectful guys, you’d actually known Jordan since your first trip on the Hogwart’s Express. So you both were studying the same book, debating on what Snape’s test would entail from it. And along the way you’d both began to joke around, which hadnt gone noticed by the others around you both.
Unfortuatly Mattheo, along with Draco and Blaise, had decided to join you and Pansy at this moment. Upon seeing the banter and laughter between his girlfriend and a Slytherin student he didn’t care for, Mattheo’s expression grew dark. The boys at his side, as well as Pansy, saw the change in the Slytherin heart throb. All three knew this was not going to end well. And it didn’t.
Mattheo walked over to where you were sitting, once standing behind you he leaded down till his face was next to yours. “Hello Love” Mattheo said in a husky voice.
You jumped not realising that your boyfriend had showed up. You felt a little guilty not noticing him. “Hello!” You replied in surprise before planting a kiss to his cheek.
Mattheo had turned his gaze to the male next to you, staring him down as you kissed his cheek. It was Mattheo’s way of showing the male you were his. Jordan eventually everted his gaze from your boyfriend when the dark look in Mattheo’s deep brown orbs became too much. You noticed the smirk that formed on Mattheo’s lips before he turned his attention to you. Unsure what he was so proud of, you looked back to your friend and saw how he looked down at the book on the table, looking a little frazzled.
Then it hit you. Mattheo, who you thought was being kind of sweet, was actually being a jealous, pompos ass. Feeling your blood starting to boil, which only grew hotter quickly when Jordan decided to excuse himself. That was the final straw. This was the last male friend Mattheo had intimidated and scared off. By this time Mattheo had smuggly taken Jordan’s seat, drawing you closer to him. But you weren’t having it. Slaming your textbook closed, you packed up for book and other things before telling Pansy you were heading out. Not once even giving Mattheo any attention. He didn’t deserve it. Not one bit!
You had manouvered out of the Library and had just made it to one of the hallways you had to take back to the Dungeon’s before Mattheo had caught up to you. He had called out your name but you had ignored him. Only when he grabbed your arm and stopped you in the hallway did you finally acknowledge your boyrfriend.
“Bloody Hell Y/N/N!” He said out of breath and annoyed. “What’s gotten into you!?”
You glared at the brunet before you, ripping your arm from his grasp. “You know damn well what’s gotten into me!” You said, spitting out the word’s he’d spoken.
Standing up straight, Mattheo’s dark brown eyes souly focused on you with a glare. He scoffed. “How about you tell me Love. After all, I did ask you first”.
Surprise flashed on your face briefly at how Mattheo was talking to you, but just as quick it was gone and replaced with your glare once more. If that was how he wanted to be, you weren’t going to back down.
“I was studying with Pansy before Jordan and the other Slytherin’s joined us, if you must know” you replied turning and started to head for the Slytherin common room. Mattheo hot on your heels, only getting more furious.
“Sure, studying” he spat. You shot him a sharp look. “From what I saw you were flirting and not studying”.
“Ha!” You said stopping suddenly and looking Mattheo in the eyes. “We were studying, nothing else. You’re just jealouse! Always thinking every male I interact with is flirting with me, or interested in me!” You poked him in the chest before taking off down the hallway again.
Mattheo laughed dryly continuing to follow you. “Oh come on Y/N/N! Don’t be so coy. You know those guys flirt with you, that they look at you with lust”.
You laughed heading down the stairs to the dungeons. “Please, I think you’ve got it wrong” you replied shaking your head. “You’re describing yourself and all the girls that fall at your feet!”
He grabbed your arm when you both made it to the bottom of the stairs. “Now, now Love. This is about you, not me!”
“Oh yes, sorry” you said rolling your eyes. “It’s always me in the wrong, never you, right?”
Mattheo’s grip tightened, making you wince a little. But he didn’t care. “I don’t like anyone coming near, speaking to or taking whats mine” Mattheo said dangerously low as his face came close to yours.
You wanted to cower, you wanted to beg for forgiveness. But this was it, you’d had enough. You looked him dead in the eye, not backing down like he wanted you too. It was a dangerous game to play. But what did you have to loose? Him? Yes. But if you give in to him, you’d loose respect for yourself.
“Let me go” you said calmly, eyes never wavering from his.
Mattheo didn’t do as you asked. He kept a firm hold on your arm. “No”.
With a small growl you used your free arm, pushing Mattheo back with your hand until he released you. “What is your problem!?” You questioned in a raised voice. “I am with you, Mattheo. It is always you! But you seem to think I would jump to another guy without so much as a second thought. Which I would never do! I love you for crying out loud!”
Mattheo winced at your words. He knew what you said was true, but a voice in the back of his mind told him it was a lie. Why wouldn’t you want someone else? Someone better then him? Someone who would sweep you off your feet?
Without thinking Mattheo opened his mouth and said wahtever came out first. “Oh please. Any guy gives you attention and you’d run off with them. After all I showed the slightest interest and you became a puppy that would follow me everywhere”.
He knew it was wrong. He knew it was an untrue exaduration. But it just kept coming. The word vomit, his insecurities, rising and possibly ruining everything. You. You looked shocked, hurt. All colour draining from your face at what he was saying.
“Y/N, you would let any guy have you if it meant not being alone”. That was the final nail.
Mattheo knew that you’d lost your parents early on. And didn’t have anyone close in your life. Those that cared for you did no such thing. They put up with you because it was expected of them, not because they wanted too. So those that you were friend’s with were your family. You did seek out approval from people. But with Mattheo it was different. He had seeked you out. He had instigated everything. He was the one to ask you out. He was the one who put the label on your relationship. Yet he had the hide to say you were the needy one!
All emotion left your face. But your eyes turned icy as they looked to the male before you. You stepped back from Mattheo, who’s mind was trying to work out how to take the foot from his mouth. You took a deep breath, and then other. Finally you straightened your posture, holding your head high.
“I’m glad I now know what you really think” you said eerly calm. “Fine then. Noted. How about I show you how wrong you are Mattheo”.
“What? W-what do you mean?” He sputtered.
“It’s done, we’re done” you replied turning from the male before you. You had taken a few steps before stopping, not looking back at him. “I-I wish I hadn’t met you…”.
Mattheo had barely heard your words before you left him, standing there alone in the cold dungeons. His blood ran cold from the argument, and end of your relationship. How stupid he had been to let his mouth get away with itself, and his damn brain for not filtering anything.
Alone. Mattheo was now alone. He was the one who had needed you. He was the one who needed your validation. He needed your love and affection. And in true Riddle fashion, ran you away. His chest ached. His stomach was in knots. His eyes burned, but he couldn’t let the tears out. Not here out in the open. Willing his body to move, Mattheo managed to get back to his dorm room. Briefly he saw you as he passed the Syltherin common room. Still you looked shut off and cold. But he pushed on to his room and his bed. Mattheo drew the curtains to his bed, welcoming the darkness. The same that was housed in himself. For anyone to hurt the light in their life deserved the darkness.
A/N: if anyone else has any submissions, feel free to put them in my ask box 😊

new anon here! how do you suppose having a friendship between the golden trio and the slytherin gang would work? as in a middleman that is close with both parties? I am overthinking how that would play out and believe that would lead to the biggest fallout. any tips? 😔
hiii anon, UGH this is so good !! sooo true about the drama, i’m in a similar spot in my DR and i’m definitely happy to talk about it and try to help you out a lil
i think my situation is easier than yours, since i’m best friends with the Slytherins and just friendly with the golden trio—plus, it helps that i’m the only one who knows Draco and Hermione are secretly together. a dash of friendliness in the hallways mixed with me smacking Theo lightly on the shoulder and telling him to “grow up” when he makes fun of Ron or Harry certainly keeps the balance
you, however—equally as close with both groups? i don’t envy you, your position is more difficult to juggle than mine, but i know you can handle it :^)
— BEING THE MIDDLEMAN BETWEEN THE GOLDEN TRIO AND THE SLYTHERINS. ( good luck )

˚ ✦ . . ˚ . . ✦ ˚ . ★⋆. ࿐࿔
juggling the two groups at Hogwarts that arguably hate eachother more than anyone else is a balancing act, one that’s practically as nerve-wracking as walking a tightrope over a pit of Hungarian Horntails. but someone’s gotta do it, i GUESS
. . ˚ . CLASS TIME. you’re sliding into Potions, a class that’s practically a battlefield for Gryffindor and Slytherin egos. you plop down at a table with Draco and Blaise, who exchange smug glances, their cauldrons bubbling ominously. Snape’s drawling voice echoes through the dungeon, and you kinda know better than to show any friendliness toward the Golden Trio sitting a few rows back while Draco has his eyes on you. but there’s a flicker of acknowledgment—a quick eye contact with Harry, a subtle nod from Hermione. it’s a quiet reassurance: we’re good, right?
during Transfiguration, it’s a whole different scene. this time, you’re between Harry and Ron, casually flipping your wand in hand as McGonagall’s sharp eyes scan the room. Ron’s cracking jokes under his breath, Hermione’s frantically scribbling notes, and Harry’s leaning in, whispering about Quidditch strategies. you whisper along with them of course, while you keep one ear out for any snide remarks that may drift over from the Slytherin side
. . ˚ . LUNCH & DINNER. the Great Hall is practically a battlefield, but you’re table-hopping like a pro. you start off with the Gryffindors, sliding onto the bench beside Ron, who’s already stuffing his face with roast chicken. the conversation flows easily, filled with laughter and plans for the next D.A. meeting. as dessert rolls around, you oh-so casually wander over to the Slytherin table, plopping down next to Pansy, who’s picking at a fruit tart while casting sidelong glances at the Gryffindor table
the vibe shift is immediate—the conversation turns to the latest school gossip, Draco’s complaints about Mudbloods barely veiled under layers of sarcasm. of course, you navigate tension expertly by now, joking in a way that diffuses Draco’s smirk and earns a chuckle from Blaise. you giggle and keep the conversation light, careful not to let anything slip that might betray your earlier lunch companions
. . ˚ . HOGSMEADE TRIPS. on Hogsmeade weekends, you’re practically a blur, splitting your time between two vastly different scenes. (weekends like this would benefit from a time turner.) first you’re with the Golden Trio, wandering through Honeydukes, laughing as Ron tries (and fails) to sneak an extra handful of Chocolate Frogs. there’s a warmth in the air, things are easy
later, you’re slipping into the Three Broomsticks with the Slytherins. Draco’s leaning back in his chair, feet propped up on the table, while Pansy orders Butterbeers with a flourish. you fit right in, effortlessly switching gears as you scold Draco and then turn to passionately debate the latest Quidditch match. you keep an eye on the door, though—there’s always potential for an awkward run-in with the Trio, you know?
. . ˚ . SUMMER BREAK. over summer, things mellow out a little—you’re not crammed in one castle with all of them, at least. letters fly back and forth, though Ron and Harry don’t write, Hermione and a couple of the Slytherins do
there are evenings spent at exclusive Slytherin gatherings, where the conversations are sharp, and the stakes feel higher. Hermione and Harry have returned to their respective muggle homes, so you sigh as you navigate interactions with the purebloods and look forward to the balance that will at least be restored when you go back to school
. . ˚ . DAY-TO-DAY. it’s a careful dance, almost. you’re constantly switching hats—one moment, you’re deep in a strategy session with Harry and Hermione, the next, you’re in the Slytherin common room, lounging on the emerald-green sofas, debating the finer points of wizarding politics. it’s impressive, you’re a chameleon, blending seamlessly into both worlds, all while keeping a tight grip on the threads that connect it all
SOME TIPS FOR JUGGLING THEM ( that i’m gonna be following most of )
keep the walls high. never, and i mean never, let one side know too much about what’s going on with the other. it’s keeping two magical worlds separate to prevent a catastrophic collision. if Harry asks what Draco’s up to, keep it vague. if Pansy pries about the trio, dodge with a biiiiig smile and change the subject
be a great listener. each group wants to feel like they’re your “real” friends, the ones who get you the best. listen intently, validate their feelings, and make each one feel like they’re the most important people in your world—at least while you’re with them. avoiding finger-pointing “you like them better” accusations is crucial
avoid hot topics. best to steer clear of subjects that could spark suspicion or jealousy—you know, no need to mention that really funny thing Ron said if you’re hanging with Draco. similarly, don’t bring up Blaise’s latest scheme or test grade when chatting with Hermione
be a chameleon. adapt to the vibe of each group (without losing your vibe, obviously.) the Trio is usually warm and open; the Slytherins are usually cooler and more measured. it’s about blending in without compromising your core
prepare for a fallout, god forbid. let’s be real—the juggling may not last forever. be ready for the day when someone gets into a bad mood and decides to snap off on you for “playing both sides.” just have a solid explanation, emphasize your loyalty to each, and be prepared to work hard to mend fences. eye roll, why can’t everybody just get along
despite the challenges, there’s a certain thrill in it all. tension, secrets, the delicate balance. you know deep down that one misstep could bring it all crashing down, but for now, you’re keeping both worlds spinning in perfect harmony and enjoying the warm friendship of everyone involved. after all, why should you have to pick your friends based off of who-likes-who? it’s your life
good luck and happy shifting xoxo :^)

Miss Right *.✧
request: the reader is Severus's biological daughter, her best friend is Luna. She herself is in Slytherin, despite the reputation of the house. The reader is a very kind and sweet person

The corridors of Hogwarts buzzed with excitement as students darted between classes, their robes billowing behind them. You, however, walked calmly, your Slytherin tie neatly in place, offering warm smiles to the few who greeted you. Your house’s reputation often preceded you, but you had made it your mission to challenge the stereotypes that clung to Slytherin like vines.
"Y/N!" Luna's dreamy voice called from behind. You turned to see her skipping lightly toward you, her Ravenclaw blue blending harmoniously with the castle’s stone walls.
"Hi, Luna," you greeted warmly, waiting as she fell into step beside you.
"You look radiant today," she said, tilting her head. "I think the Nargles must be keeping their distance."
You chuckled. "Maybe they’re finally learning to behave."
Luna’s airy laugh echoed in the corridor as the two of you headed to the Great Hall. Fred Weasley was already there, lounging at the Gryffindor table. His eyes lit up when he spotted you, and he made a show of standing and bowing exaggeratedly as you approached.
"Your Majesty," he teased, his grin as mischievous as ever.
"Fred," you said with mock exasperation, but your smile betrayed you. "You’re causing a scene."
"Anything for you, my dear Slytherin," he said, pulling you into a quick hug before you settled at the Gryffindor table with him, ignoring the curious looks from nearby students.
Luna sat beside you, her plate already piling with odd combinations of food. "I think some people are confused," she said casually, her gaze drifting toward a group of younger students whispering.
"Let them wonder," Fred said, his hand finding yours under the table. "We’re the best-kept secret in Hogwarts."
You squeezed his hand, feeling a warmth that chased away any lingering self-doubt. Being Severus Snape’s daughter came with its own set of challenges, but you had found solace in unexpected places—Luna’s unwavering friendship and Fred’s contagious joy.

Later that evening, you found yourself in the Slytherin common room, curled up in one of the armchairs near the fire. The room was quieter than usual, and you used the moment to catch up on your Potions homework. Your father had high expectations, and you were determined not to disappoint him.
"Lost in thought, Y/N?" Draco Malfoy’s voice broke the silence. He was leaning against the mantel, his usual smirk in place.
"Just focused," you replied without looking up.
"Must be hard, balancing your perfect grades and your Gryffindor boyfriend," he said, his tone laced with mockery.
You met his gaze calmly. "Fred makes me happy, Draco. Isn’t that what matters?"
He shrugged, clearly not interested in a debate. "Just don’t forget where your loyalties lie."
"I know exactly where my loyalties lie," you said firmly, turning back to your work.

The next day, you met Luna in the library. She was flipping through a book on magical creatures when she looked up and said, "Have you ever wondered what your Patronus would be?"
You tilted your head thoughtfully. "I’ve never really thought about it. Why?"
Luna’s eyes sparkled. "It says a lot about a person. I think yours would be something gentle, but strong.”
"Maybe," you said softly, though part of you hoped it would be something unique to you.
Fred appeared a moment later, leaning over your chair to press a quick kiss to your temple. "What are we talking about?"
"Patronuses," Luna supplied.
Fred grinned. "Yours would be a fox, for sure. Clever and sly."
You laughed, leaning into him. "I guess we’ll have to see."

The corridors were mostly empty, the few lingering students too preoccupied with their own holiday plans to notice you slipping away.
When you arrived at the clock tower, Fred was waiting, his hands tucked into his pockets and a playful grin lighting up his face.
"You’re late," he teased.
"You’re lucky I even came," you shot back, though the smile tugging at your lips betrayed you.
He held out his hand. "Come with me."
You took it without hesitation, letting him lead you outside into the crisp winter night. The snow crunched softly beneath your boots as Fred guided you toward a spot near the edge of the Forbidden Forest. There, in a small clearing, stood a table draped in a checkered blanket, candles glowing softly around it. Steam rose from two mugs of hot cocoa, and a plate of biscuits sat invitingly in the center.
Your eyes widened in surprise. "Fred… what is this?"
"Well," he began, rubbing the back of his neck, "I figured we don’t get enough time to ourselves, especially with you always hiding away in that dungeon of yours. So I thought… why not make tonight special?"
You stared at him, a warmth blooming in your chest that had nothing to do with the cocoa. "You did all this for me?"
"Of course," he said, pulling out a chair for you. "Only the best for my favorite Slytherin."
You laughed, sitting down as Fred joined you. The two of you sipped your cocoa, the rich, warm sweetness melting away the chill of the night. Fred kept the conversation light, recounting one of his latest pranks on Filch, and you found yourself laughing so hard your sides ached.
As the night went on, the conversation grew softer, more intimate. Fred reached across the table to take your hand, his thumb brushing over your knuckles.
"I know we joke around a lot," he said quietly, his eyes locking onto yours. "But I want you to know… you mean everything to me, Y/N. I don’t care what house you’re in, who your father is, or what anyone else thinks. You’re my person."
Your breath hitched, the sincerity in his voice catching you off guard. You squeezed his hand, feeling a lump rise in your throat.
"You're my person too, Fred," you whispered.
Fred smiled, leaning across the table to press a gentle kiss to your lips. The world seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of his touch and the steady rhythm of your heart.
When he pulled back, his grin was as wide as ever. "Good. Because I’ve got a lot more surprises up my sleeve."
You laughed, shaking your head. "With you, I’d expect nothing less."

Kwon and Draco Malfoy's character archetype and why it makes fans go crazy

(Warning: this post contains spoilers from both stories)
Like it or not, Kwon Jae Sung has become one of the most beloved characters in the Cobra Kai series, and he only needed 15 minutes or less of screen time to do so. Here's my analysis of why his character traits are so interesting to many fans and how this reminds me of the "Draco Malfoy effect" in the Harry Potter fandom.
Cobra Kai and Death Eaters
The first time we see Kwon, he's a student at the Korean Cobra Kai dojo, a place that not only condones but actually encourages young people to be violent, offensive, and merciless. We see how this teenager eagerly absorbs every one of these teachings and puts them into action.

Sounds familiar? In the HP universe, Death Eaters were an elite group created for the sole purpose of terrorizing and eliminating those they considered "the weakest and unworthiest": Muggle-borns and Muggles. They convinced (or forced) very young people to join them in their "mission": Draco, Snape, Regulus… All victims who then became perpetrators of the same crimes.

This scenario is SO attractive from a fictional POV. You have this dark group of adults that use and manipulate these teenagers or young adults for their own selfish purposes, and you begin to wonder: what are these young characters going to do when faced with the real consequences of their actions and way of thinking?
Draco realized (slowly and painfully) how his family's ideals were turning him into a monster forced to torture and kill innocent people. Kwon wasn't given enough time to do that… But I'll talk about this later.
Bad Boy trope and the King of Ships
Now, we can't deny that a huge part of both Kwon and Draco's attractiveness stems from their charisma, quick-witted remarks, and their inflated sense of self-importance, believing themselves untouchable and incomparable. They feel empowered to say and do whatever they want, whenever they want, to whomever they want.
All this, combined with their appealing and recognizable looks, creates the perfect formula for your next fictional Bad Boy crush™. And it also makes them so easy to ship with other characters, especially if their interactions can be interpreted as flirtatious when taken out of context (ahem, Dramione, ahem, Drarry, ahem, Kwon x Tory).

"He's just a boy"
At the end of the day, both boys were just that: 17-year-old boys trying to fit into the world they were raised in, be the best in their class, and achieve great things in life. And this is what makes them so endearing to many fans like me.
Both tried to impress the father figure they kind of idolized.

And both suffered when they faced the reality that they were just as powerless and insecure as any other normal teenager.

But in Draco's case, this moment of realization became the start of his regrets and redemption arc.
In Kwon's case, he was fated to be consumed by rage and die… due to a questionable plot and chain of events.
Now, I'm not going to debate the last 15 minutes of Cobra Kai Part 2 here. I've already written about it, and this isn't the point of this analysis anyway. I respect the people who think that Kwon's death was necessary and that it will help other characters' growth in Part 3, even though I strongly disagree with how the Cobra Kai writers handled it all.
However...
The infinite possibilites of the Redemption Arc
Not giving Kwon the possibility of a future redemption arc was a real waste of his character's potential.
Draco Malfoy wasn't truly redeemed in the original books, but at least in the epilogue, we see him raising a beautiful family, far removed from his racist past. And if you consider what happens in Cursed Child canon, you'll see how much he has grown and how good he could have been as a teen, too, if he hadn't been fed the wrong ideas and morals.
Imagine how cool it would have been if the "There's no such thing as bad student, only bad teacher" theme was applied in a drastically different way than what they decided to do in Part 2.
I'm not saying they should have shown us Kwon's redemption arc in Cobra Kai Season 6. That wouldn't have been good because we only have five episodes left, and it wouldn't have been believable that he changed so fast... But if he hadn't died, then all possibilities were open (for future spin-offs or even just to be coherent with the tone the CK series had until season 6, that is: no dead kids, just adults and only because of an illness).
Sunshine Actors
Lastly, it can't be denied that Brandon H. Lee and Tom Felton have played a crucial part in making their characters fan favorites.
They both have amazing acting skills, portraying charismatic yet tragic characters. And Brandon's stunt and martial arts skills are truly fascinating to watch.
But there's even more to their casting as Kwon and Draco. And even though I can totally separate the actor from the character, I won't deny that the actors being handsome, gentlemen, and the nicest people behind the scenes plays an important part in fans loving their characters.
If you've made it this far, thank you so much for reading!
I often post more character analyses and plot reviews, so if you like this, feel free to follow me and message me with any questions you may have :)

Prompt 15 - Before
@wolfstarmicrofic January 15, word count 974
It was the day of the full moon. Remus, had slept for most of the morning but was determined to get to his afternoon lessons. He ached all over. Some of his rib bones kept flexing painfully as though getting ready for later that night. Sirius had come and collected him for lunch. After they had double potions. Remus didn’t particularly like potions, but Lily had agreed to do most of the work, letting Remus sit at the desk and read out the instructions to her or chop the next ingredients.
The room felt insanely hot for some reason this lesson. It wasn’t long before Remus had a splitting headache. Everything was too loud. He couldn’t seem to filter anything out. Every little sound found its way to his ears. He could hear Peter nibbling on the end of his quill. Mulciber scratching his arse, and Snivillius sniffed repeatedly as he refused to use a tissue.
He was clammy and feeling very nauseous. He wanted to leave so badly, but he had to be careful not to draw attention to how often he was ‘ill’.
He felt a gust of cool air begin blowing over him. He closed his eyes and sighed. He opened them again and looked around the room trying to find the source. Sirius winked at him, his wand in his hand. Remus was suddenly overcome with emotion and had to look up at the stone ceiling to keep the tears from flooding down his cheeks.
“You doing ok, Remus?” Lily whispered. She knew about his furry little problem and would constantly check on him on the run-up to the full moon. He nodded slowly at her, not wanting to move too quickly in case he was sick.
Eventually, the lesson was over. Lily had successfully brewed their Befuddlement draught with almost no help from Remus and now there was only dinner to go before he went to the hospital wing.
“You go ahead. I’ll catch up in a minute.” He told Sirius as he packed his things away.
“Are you sure? I don’t mind waiting for you.” Sirius said full of concern.
“No, it’s fine. You guys go eat. I’m probably not going to have much anyway. Plus, my head hurts. I’m going to need a minute before I can deal with the Great Hall.” Remus winced as someone scraped a stool across the floor. Sirius reached out and squeezed his hands.
“Okay, I’ll make a plate up for you for when you’re ready.” Sirius grabbed his things and followed the others out of the classroom.
Remus followed soon after, relishing in the coolness of the corridors. He was just debating whether it would be better if he went straight to the hospital wing instead of dealing with the Great Hall when he found himself being cornered by Snape and his cronies. He must have wandered down the wrong corridor on his way back up to the main part of the castle. He really wasn’t in the mood for this.
“Aww been abandoned Lupin? Have your little pals finally had enough of you?” Snape sneered at him. Remus let his wand slip down into his hand from his holster. Mulciber and Avery were still chortling at Snape’s not-so-funny retorts.
“Piss off Snape. Haven’t you got anything better to do, like washing your hair maybe?!” Remus growled, narrowing his eyes as hatred flooded his veins. This close to the full moon the anger came easily. Sparks shot out of his fingers, he just wanted to be left alone.
They swarmed him, pressing him further into a corner. He was trapped. More sparks shot from his fingers. Mulciber shoved him into the wall sending spikes of pain through his body. He started shaking. He wasn’t in control of his magic anymore, one more hit and he’d explode. His eyes darted around looking for a way out.
“Gods, you are a lunatic aren’t you Lupin?” Snape snarled at him. “What are you going to do lunatic? There’s three of us, don’t think you’re going to make it out.” Remus tried to push past Mulciber but he slammed him back. Remus cried out in pain. He barely stopped his magic from blasting out into the Slytherins.
“Well, well, Snivillus. And what exactly do you think you’re doing to our Moony?” Sirius appeared out of nowhere, leaning against the wall and buffing his nails on his robes. “Petrificus totalus.” He said lazily, pointing his wand at Muliciber. Not even waiting for him to hit the floor before he repeated the spell on Avery. He turned his attention to Remus.
“You alright, Moony?” He asked, completely ignoring Snape. Remus shook his head. He could feel his magic wrapping around himself. He needed to get to the shack, away from the other students.
“Sirius, I need you to get me out of here before I hex someone.” Hex was putting it lightly, but Sirius knew the signs of Remus’s magic explosions.
“Okay, come on, let’s get going.” He held out a hand that he knew Remus wouldn’t take, but it was a gesture to get him moving.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Snape screamed after them. Sirius didn’t even turn around. He shot the spell over his shoulder as he kept an eye on Remus limping next to him. Snape fell to the ground in a full body-lock curse.
“Sirius, I need to get rid of this magic before I explode.” Remus held up a hand, showing the blue threads wrapping themselves around his fingers and disappearing up his sleeves. Sirius nodded, still not touching him.
“We’ll get you to the shack, and then I’ll help you get rid of it.” Remus nodded. His whole body shaking. Just a little longer, he kept telling himself. Just hold on a little longer before you let it go.

chapter 64 sneak peek!
“What’re you doing?” she whispered, shivering. “It’s the middle of the bloody night!”
“Never mind that.” Snape stared down at her feet. “Where are your shoes?”
“Upstairs, where else would they be?”
He gave her a bored sort of look that told her he was gauging how she’d ended up with this many stupid-genes.
“I’ll er — go and get them!” Ariel said, hurrying back through the portrait hole to leave Snape impatiently tapping her foot as Sir Cadogen cried for one of them to draw their swords.
She threw on her snow boots and chunkiest sweater, along with her Cloak and wand. Eyeing the Map, Ariel wondered if she should bring it but decided against it. Snape would set it on fire — he’d done worse to much more precious pieces of parchment.
Before Ariel scampered back out the door, she quickly penned a note to Hermione and left it on her night table, just in case. The last thing Ariel needed was Hermione waking up Professor McGonagall because she was afraid Sirius Black had abducted her, or something.
Snape was tapping his foot impatiently when Ariel crept back out, eyeing her outfit with a disdainful glare. She just started expectantly back, crossing her arms up in a show of dominance.
After a moment, he rolled his eyes and turned away. “Come along now, before I change my mind.”
Ariel fell into step with him as they hurried down the stairs. “Are you kidnapping me?”
“It’s not kidnapping if it’s my child.”
Something about the way he said it — my child — made her heart feel like it had grown two sizes.
“Where are we going then?” Ariel chirped up at him.
“You’ll find out.” Snape gave her a severe look that made the next question stick to the back of her throat. “No more talking. Put on that Cloak and stay close to me.”
They walked all the way to the main entrance before Snape spoke again. Ariel tried to rack her brain for where in Merlin’s name they could be going at this hour, on Christmas Eve, no less, when Snape pushed open the great oak doors, letting in a gust of frigid wind that made Ariel's teeth chatter. Outside, the grounds were blanketed in a fresh layer of snow that glittered under the starlight.
“We’ll be cutting across the grounds and going through a back ways path,” his eyes trailed over the distant mass of forest, assessing it.
"We're going outside?" Ariel popped off the hood to look at him incredulously.
“I thought I said no more talking,” he pulled her hood back up, but kept his arm around her shoulders.
“But — but the Dementors —”
“The Aurors are patrolling tonight,” Snape said flatly. “In light of the holiday, they were not allowed to be on the grounds. They’re on the outskirts of Hogsmeade until tomorrow evening.”
“Good thing Black takes breaks on Christmas,” Ariel muttered under her breath. “Does he have New Years off, too?”
Snape’s grip tightened around her invisible shoulders as he led them out into the night. The snow crunched beneath their feet, leaving a trail of footprints behind them. Ariel pulled the Cloak tighter around herself, the fabric whispering against her skin.
She began to debate with herself on whether or not she should be concerned. Being abducted in the middle of the night usually meant that something had happened, but Snape was acting relatively normal, which told Ariel that danger wasn’t imminent. Then there was the fact that he had taken her outside in the middle of the night, which was even weirder, because that was definitely for an approved Ariel activity. She supposed if she asked Snape for a list of those, it would be quite short — would probably include breathing and eating and drinking. Maybe learning. And Occluding, but only sometimes —
“Are you being purposefully obtuse?” Snape’s voice snapped.
When Ariel looked up, he was several paces ahead of her. She’d unknowingly stopped, and then she wondered how he’d noticed. Maybe it was the fact that her footprints had stopped alongside his, or that her breath curling the frigid air was noticeably not alongside Snape’s anymore. Either way, Ariel muttered an apology and hurried back to his side, letting the hood slide off once again.
Snape’s eyes scanned the trees with unnatural precision. Then he lifted his wand, raising it like a conductor about to cue a symphony, muttering some spell Ariel couldn’t make out over both their heads. A film of dense silence seemed to settle over them, like they’d been put in a room in the middle of the path, static in her vision before it cleared and her line of sight returned to normal.
“Disillusionment,” Snape said before Ariel could ask. “Do not leave my side again, or we’re turning back.”
She took off the hood, earning herself a reproachful glare from Snape, who just shook his head and kept moving. Looking ahead down the dim path, Ariel could see lights in the distance, golden against the snow that glistened down the path. There were fairy lights strung on all of the trees along the tree line, illuminating them in a soft, enchanting glow.
“This isn’t very festive, you know.” Ariel tried as she nudged herself into Snape’s side. “The kidnapping you claim you’re not doing and smuggling me out of the castle.”
“What are you going to do about it?” Snape rolled his eyes.
“You’re going to end up with a lump of coal in your stocking if you don’t tell me what’s going on.”
His lips twitched. If Ariel hadn’t known any better, she would’ve thought he was trying not to smirk. “I’ll have to take my chances, then.”
“I’m serious. If we miss Christmas morning, I’ll be very cross with you.”
Snape simply raised an eyebrow at her, looking thoroughly unimpressed by her threat. “I shan’t repeat myself.”
She scowled up at him. “Can you at least give me a hint?”
“We’re not going to Hogwarts.”
“That is a terrible hint.”
“And you are a terrible traveling companion.”
“If I were that bad, I’d be walking much slower and complaining.”
“Your incessant chatter is just as grating.”
“I am a delight.”
The path began to slope downwards, leading them through a copse of snow-laden trees. Ariel's boots sank deep into the drifts, and she had to grab onto Snape's arm to keep from tumbling face-first into a snowbank. He steadied her with a firm hand, his fingers gripping her elbow as he guided her down the slippery slope. Ariel clung to him, her breath puffing out in icy clouds as they trudged onward.
“This is starting to feel like one of those fairytales where they tell you not to go into the woods,” Ariel grumbled. “And I can’t feel my toes.”
“There’s there complaining,” Snape retorted, but he cast a Warming Charm on her anyway.
He led them up and around a grove of trees, the light fading behind them as they moved farther and farther away from the path. Ariel’s teeth were still chattering, despite the Charm, and so she pressed herself tightly against Snape’s side, relishing in the warmth she found there. She would have thought Snape would have been as cold as an icicle, being so skinny and pale, but he radiated heat.
Ariel suddenly knew where they were, without ever being there before. As the bank swung upwards, steep enough that Snape had to help her up again, Ariel could see the gleaming lights greeting her as she made her way back to solid ground.
“Hogsmeade?” she whispered, to herself. When she looked up at Snape in confusion, the expression on his face made her heart squeeze in her chest, the same way it did when the doe appeared.
“Come along,” Snape said softly — so soft she almost didn’t hear him.
“Why’d we go that way?”
“To avoid being seen,” there was an obviously tagged at the end there, but Ariel ignored it.

marauders era faceclaims/fancasts but it's all musicians from the 60s-80s because i am insane. let's go

first up is kate bush as lily! this felt so obvious. even though she's not a ginger and her eyes are hazel (i think?) instead of green, there's something so sweet and warm about her that makes her a perfect lily to me. and omg the pics of her as a child are sooo ridiculously cute.

next up is andy partridge (my beloved) as james. he is in fact blond but i think the glasses are a wonderful coincidence. and he has a great face for james, very british-looking. honorable mention to steve albini who was my original pick but wasn't quite right (not very british-looking, does have black hair tho) – just wanted to mention that because i really only wanted to include him in this post to piss him off

young chris cornell is literally scary accurate for sirius like his face might as well be directly lifted from my BRAIN. i was really hoping to find a 70s musician for him (these pics are from the late 80s) just for consistency among the marauders, but this was too good not to use

next is alex chilton as remus. the pic on the left was when he was literally 17, while the middle one (and presumably the right one?) are when he's older. i might just be picking him because he reminds me of andrew garfield, who i don't even like as a fancast for remus, but he's infiltrated my subconscious nonetheless. also look at his little peace signs, isn't he so cute and silly and quirky? ok moving on

i'll be honest i struggled with peter but i think i'm pretty happy with greg lake here. the hair is a little dated (these pics are probably from the late 60s?) but i like his big round face. and come on i needed SOMEONE from a prog rock band in this post. it just feels right for it to be peter

alright i really struggled with snape so i'm including a few options and i really want to hear which one people like the best. personally i think the best fit is unfortunately young marilyn manson (first two pics). i was originally going to go with todd rundgren (next two) because of the long face, long hair, bad teeth... why are you booing me i'm right. i like that todd is a 70s guy because it feels more consistent with the other characters, but marilyn's got the goth factor... overall i think they're both DECENT, but i'm not sure if either one has quite the right nose. what do you guys think?
also shoutout to my many rejected snape picks, including steve peregrin took from t rex (not bad but not amazing, i debated including pics but this post is already long enough), rozz williams (too cool-looking), roger waters (meh), and frank zappa (PERFECT nose, but no good pictures without the giant mustache and the rest of his face isn't very snapey to me).
wow ok i can't believe i did this. this is so incredibly stupid but it also took me weeks to do, so i would love to hear what people think of my picks. you're welcome or i'm sorry or whatever
#god the more context you have with these people the funnier it gets#PLEASE look up what todd rundgren was wearing in the 70s i beg you. and don't look up any of the bands steve albini was in#also if dumbledore was relevant here he would be robert wyatt. but he's not. ok i'm done#hp#my posts#fancasts#my faceclaims#<- not sure which word to use considering most of these people are either in their 70s or um. dead. and also not actors#anyway time to use a barrage of tags because i want feedback goddamnit!#marauders#marauders fancast#marauders fandom#marauders era#hp fancast#hp fandom#hp marauders#the marauders#james potter#james potter fancast#lily evans#lily potter#lily evans fancast#lily potter fancast#sirius black#sirius black fancast#remus lupin#remus lupin fancast#peter pettigrew#peter pettigrew fancast#severus snape

Do you think Harry has the potential to become one of the greatest wizards in the wizarding world? In discussions, fandom insists on comparing Harry to Voldemort, Dumbledore, and Snape but seems to forget that these three are already adults, they have knowledge that Harry has no way of knowing. I myself am terrible at debate but I found an answer that perfectly clarifies the potential of the book!Harry. I'll send it to you to read next.
2/2: Harry wasn’t studious, and unlike Hermione didn’t try to be the best at every spell he was asked to do but he was naturally a much better wizard than most. Compared to Snape, Voldemort and Dumbledore he wasn’t that good, but then he had only had 7 years to learn what these people had their whole lives to learn.Harry certainly had skills far beyond his classmates, he summoned a patronus in his 3rd year of even knowing what a wizard was, a feat that managed to impress even the Wizengamot who was attempting to convict him. He also was one of the best Quidditch players in the school and it all started with his first time on a broom in which he managed to convince McGonagall he was a good seeker. He also managed to hold his own against many foes, Voldemort, many death eaters, several creatures from Dragons to Skrewts, and managed to fight off the Imperius curse and see into Snape’s mind, quite possibly the best occlumens and legilimens in the wizard world. He may not have been able to last in different scenarios but he could hold his own where many, including famed aurors, had failed.Harry may not have known every spell in the book and he may not have been able to defeat the greats alone, but for a teenager he showed ability that very few others could exhibit, and with age and overcoming his shortcomings he had the potential to be great.
--------------
Hello! Thank you for sharing this submission. This is actually one of the things that I love about Harry as a character: he's extremely flexible. You can make him average and you can make him powerful, and both directions are supported by canon.
Personally, I tend to see Harry as an average wizard who is very talented in some areas but only adequate in others. This is what makes him fascinating and beloved to me: he manages to win repeatedly not because of his powers, but because of other qualities. Like, I wouldn't say he really held his own against Voldemort and his Death Eaters. With Voldemort, he was saved by the fact that their wands are similar; then it helped that he was the Master of Death and Voldemort tried to attack him with the Elder wand. In TOotP, Death Eaters had orders not to harm Harry as they could have because of the Prophecy that they wanted to grab from him and because Voldemort wanted to be the one to kill him.
However, Harry thinks on his feet; he’s athletic, which helps him in fights, he’s brave beyond measure and he’s ready to sacrifice himself for the benefit of others. He’s capable of deep love. All of this makes him a perfect counterpart to Voldemort. He’s a character who proves that you don’t always need to be great to do great things.
Meanwhile, it’s entirely possible to see Harry as extremely powerful, too. Like the post you shared mentioned, he conjured a brilliant Patronus at a very young age, managing to chase away hundreds of Dementors. He can throw off Imperio, even when it comes from a wizard of Voldemort’s level, and the whole murky business with him surviving the Killing Curse can be interpreted as a part of his powers, too.
I actually plan to mix these two versions in my new story because canon Harry is a well of opportunities!

The Heir of Slytherin - S.S. fanfic Chapter 15
to read on ao3
After the events with the Fat Lady, the tables were removed from the Great Hall and were replaced instead with cots for the entire student body. Albus wanted every single student under the same roof, fearing Sirius' presence in the building. Through the scuffle, Isadora managed to find me. She had grown a bit over the summer but was still a frightful thing. She clung to me for dear life, and I promised that I would stay with her at least until she fell asleep. Her head rested on my lap as I leaned back against one palm, my other tangled in her soft, straight blond hair.
Albus was watching over the children as Filch, Flitwick, and Snape filtered in.
"I've searched the Astronomy Tower as well as the Owlery, sir. There's nothing there." Filch announced.
"Ah, thank you." Albus nodded to Filch.
"The third floor is clear too," Flitwick added.
"Very good." Albus continues.
"And I've done the dungeons, Headmaster. No sign of Black, nor anywhere else in the castle." Snape stated.
"I didn't really expect him to linger." Albus sighed.
"Remarkable feat, don't you think?" Snape pries. "To enter Hogwarts castle, on ones own, completely undetected."
"Quite remarkable, yes." The headmaster agrees.
"Any theories on how he might have managed it?" Snape asks.
"Many, each as unlikely as the next." Albus comments.
Snape took a moment before responding, "You may recall, before the start of the term, I did express concerns about your appointment of Professor Lupin..."
"Not a single professor inside this castle would help Sirius Black to enter it." Albus quickly shot him down. "No, I'm quite convinced the castle is safe. And I'm more than willing to send the students back to their houses."
"What about Potter? Should he be warned?" Snape asks.
This piqued my interest. Why would Sirius Black be concerned with Harry?
"Perhaps." Albus concedes. "But for now, let him sleep. For in dreams, we enter a world that is entirely our own. Let him swim in the deepest ocean or glide over the highest cloud."
At this, I adjust Isa's head back onto her pillow and stand up, stretching out my legs, which had long fallen asleep. Snape doesn't utter another word to Albus. He turns, facing me. For a moment, we look into the other's eyes. I can see that he is debating on whether or not to say something to me, but ultimately I suppose he decides against it, as he shuffles out of the Great Hall without giving me the time of day.
I take the opportunity to walk over to Albus. As quietly as possible, I ask, "Albus... can I ask you a question?"
My godfather turns to look at me, something twinkling in his eyes. He gives me a tired smile. "Yes. Let's take a walk, shall we?"
He hooks his arm into my own, and we leave the Great Hall.
"Why would you have to warn Harry Potter about Sirius Black?" I questioned.
Albus took a long, deep breath before exhaling it very slowly. "Sirius Black was very close to James Potter while they were in school. When Harry was born, James assigned Sirius the role of his godfather... which turned out to be a terrible mistake." He shook his head sadly. "Sirius would eventually turn on Lily and James and reveal where they were hiding to the Dark Lord. It is his fault that they are dead, and it is believed that he is still trying to help Voldemort. His connection to Harry is... concerning, to say the least."
I nodded, trying to digest the information that Albus had given me. "That's terrible, to turn against your friends like that. Being the godfather of your best friend's son is no small thing."
"No." Albus pulled me closer. "It certainly is not, Samira."
It was in this moment that I wondered if I should tell Albus about the dreams I had been having, the strange visions of Sirius Black and the dog. However, I could not even be sure of the nature of them myself. I didn't see what good it would do to cause even more chaos than necessary.
"Allow me to escort you to your quarters, my dear." The man says. "It would make an old man feel at ease."
I did not put up a fight because, truthfully, it put me at ease as well.
I could have sworn I had fallen asleep in my own bed, and yet, I did not feel as though I was sleeping as I stood before the Forbidden Forest. It was cold outside, dreary, and about to storm. I noted once again that I was barefoot, as I could feel the wet, green grass poking between my toes. Leaves crunched and twigs snapped just beyond the trees. The dog, the same dog I saw in Morocco, peeked out of the clearing. Those same piercing grey eyes stared into my soul. He cocked his head at me, his ears flattening.
From behind me, I could feel someone touching my shoulder. Then, I heard my name called by a familiar voice. Snape. "Samira..."
I knew it belonged to him, but I didn't place it immediately because the tenderness with which it was said was so out of place. So bizarre. My head swiveled around, but there was nothing there. When I turned back to look for the dog, he was gone, too.
I woke up again. I was not sweaty or goosebumped, and I had not cried in the night, but I was still shaken. I couldn't let it go on like this. These visions felt far too real to simply be dreams, and they had to mean something, didn't they? I would speak to Dumbledore about them the following day. I had to. In the meantime, I would try to fall back to sleep.
It was an exciting Quidditch season this year. Isadora would be the seeker for Slytherin, like her father before her, and she was damn good at it too, I must say. However, she would be playing against Harry, so she would certainly get a run for her money. Isa was good, but Harry was better, and I had a strong suspicion it would be Gryffindor who won this game over Slytherin.
It was pouring cats and dogs, however, and made for a most uncomfortable viewing experience. I sat in the faculty booth, seated between both Snape and Albus. Emmanuel was on the other side of Albus. On top of the rain, to only make things worse, I could feel the looming presence of the dementors. I shook, not because of the rain which was certainly making me cold, but because of the dreaded feeling I got in the pit of my stomach when their soul sucking nature got too close. Having that vision of Azkaban truly gave me a modicum of empathy for its prisoners. I couldn't have survived it myself.
The clouds are getting thicker now, and the snitch has disappeared beyond them. Harry has pushed Isa out of the way and has flown up beyond sight. I could see Snape growing increasingly more uncomfortable in his seat at this. Admittedly, I was also nervous. Albus seemed to be feeling fine, though, watching for signs of the boy.
At that moment, I could feel the presence of the dementors looming ever closer. I wrapped my arms around myself. "Albus..." I mumbled, my teeth chattering.
"Yes, darling?" He inquired.
"They're getting closer. Can't you feel them?" I asked.
Then, a bolt of lightning struck the arena. Before Albus could answer me, Harry's body tumbled down from the sky and out of the storm clouds. Snape stood, a foreign look in his eye, one I had never seen on him before. Was it grief?
Albus also rose off the seat. His hand shot out as he screamed, "Arresto Momentum!"
Harry's body froze in mid-air before it slowly made its way to the ground below.
Harry was safe, thankfully, just a bit knocked out. He was resting soundly with Madam Pomfrey for now. Those damned dementors shouldn't be here, and I said as much to Albus. It didn't go very far, though, considering the dementors were not his doing. The ministry demanded their presence at the castle. It was a little above his pay grade. In any case, I figured it would be a good time to approach him about my visions and dreams, with the students fawning over Harry and speaking amongst themselves. No more classes would be held for the day, so the faculty were off doing their own things as well.
I stood in front of Albus' office. "Sherbert lemon." I whispered. The statue turned, revealing the staircase. I walked up with purpose, not hearing anyone speaking. I assumed he must have been alone.
When I entered the office, Albus was looking over at me expectantly. It was as if he knew I would be coming. "Samira. What a nice surprise. How can I help you?"
"I...I need to talk to you." I said quietly, fiddling with my fingers. "It's important."
He motioned to the chairs in front of his desk. I shuffled over and sat in one, crossing my legs tightly.
"What is wrong, dear?" He asked sincerely. "You seem troubled."
"Just tired." I shrugged. "I haven't been sleeping well."
"Why is that?" He further questions.
"I've been having these weird dreams," I said honestly. "But, they don't feel like dreams. They feel real, you know?"
He clasps his hands together. "Tell me about them."
"They began in Morocco. At first, I was in the desert. It was as if I apparated there from my bed. I was still in my nightgown, and I wasn't wearing any shoes. This is a common theme in all of my visions. Anyway, I see this large, black dog with grey eyes looking at me. Then, I hear my mother's name being called. Then I woke up." I recounted.
He nods for me to continue.
"Then, I had another dream. I was in Azkaban... I think I was in Sirius Black's cell because almost as quickly as I had arrived in it, I was on the roof of the prison. Sirius was there, grinning. He jumped off the roof and into the ocean. Then, I had another vision of the dog... I was outside of Hogwarts on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. He was just behind the trees. And then I-"
At that moment, I cut myself off. I had come too close to disclosing the next part of that dream, and it was not something I wanted to disclose to Albus. In fact, I didn't want Albus to know anything of the glimpses of Snape I had seen around the castle.
"Then?" He raises his brows.
"Nothing." I shook my head.
"Are you sure that is all you are seeing, Samira?" He presses.
I nod. "Yes. Quite sure... it's just. It doesn't feel malevolent, you know? The dog, I mean. It's like he's trying to tell me something or show me something. He has pure intentions."
Albus leaned back in his chair, his eyes not leaving mine even for a moment. He seems deep in thought. He doesn't speak, though, not for a while, which makes me quite nervous.
He lets out a gentle exhale before he speaks his next words carefully, "The answers to your questions lay inside you, Samira."
I blink. "What?"
"Your visions. That which plagues you most. The answers to them lay within you."
The look on his face... is it... is it almost playful? Is he playing a game with me?
"You needn't worry, dear. All will become clear soon enough. Now, if that is all, please leave me to my devices. I would quite like to finish this cheese danish all in my lonesome." He chuckles, unwrapping a large cheese danish from a towel on his desk.
With a huff, I leave him be. How incredibly useless.
I couldn't help but feel frustrated with Albus for the rest of the day. I came to him with all sincerity, and all he could provide me with was a smirk and to let me know that the answers lay within me. What kind of answer is that!
I was practically seething as I roamed the halls late at night. I was glad that I was no longer a student, and no one could yell at me for my nightly excursions. Especially not Snape. However, as I continued down my route, Remus' office door was wide open. My eyebrows furrowed at this. I walked over and peered inside. He seems exhausted, with massive bags under his eyes, and his skin is paler than usual. I paused, unsure as to whether or not I should knock, but as I stepped forward, the floor beneath me squeaked.
Remus looked up and gave me a brief wave. "Hi there, Professor. Would you like to join me for a cuppa?"
Since he offered, I saw no harm in it. "Hi, Professor Lupin. Sure, I'd love one."
He shakily poured the steaming hot liquid into another cup and pushed it over to the spot next to him. "How is your class going so far this term?"
"Pretty well," I responded honestly. "The kids are really enjoying it, actually, and I like teaching more than I thought I would."
"You are quite good at it," Remus admits with a smile. "Sincerely. You have a talent with children, you know?"
I shrugged. "I suppose."
"Are you quite alright, hon?" He asks gently now.
"Yes," I say with a modicum of honesty. "I'm thinking about my parents. My father was a professor for many years. So was my mother, but... she hated that job."
Remus snorts at this. "I can imagine. Your mother was not a patient woman."
I giggled. "Quite an understatement. My father was always the more demonstrative, level-headed one... You know, you never quite told me how you knew my mother."
The sandy-haired man took a deep breath. "Well. I don't know how much you know, but I was quite good friends with Harry Potter's father, James."
My eyebrows raised at that. "So then... you were close with Sirius?"
"Yes." He breathed. "Regrettably, I suppose. Sirius, James, Peter, and I were quite the foursome."
Peter was a new name I hadn't heard. Remus picked up on my confusion at this and began to explain: "Peter was killed by Sirius before he ratted on James and Lily. I could never understand it. He hadn't shown any sign of... well."
My eyes softened at this. I could see the great pain that this caused Remus.
"Anyway. Your mother and Lily were good friends, and they both hung out with us quite often. The only catch was that your mother was also close with Lucius Malfoy. The time they were together, he truly seemed to have changed. He became more gentle and started to unlearn some of his more hateful, inherited ideas about race." Remus slowly explains. "However, the four of us always looked at her askance for that. We were never quite sure where her loyalties lie... I regret that now, again."
"It's natural to feel that way. Especially when you are so young." I shrug. "The world feels far more black and white than it truly is."
Remus sends me a sad smile before his face contorts in pain. He grips onto the table for mercy. I grab onto him, steadying him in his chair. He seems to flinch at this, staring back at me in fear.
"Remus," I whisper. "What's wrong?"
He swallows, closing his eyes tightly. "I'm not ill, Samira. It's okay."
"You seem ill," I state.
"It's just the good old wolfesbane." He sniffles, sitting up straighter now as though the pain had passed him by. A chuckle passes his lips. "A most unpleasant night once a month, and then it's over."
He is now looking at me once more, searching my eyes for something. Rejection? Hate? Vitriol? None of this is what he found, however. My face remains gentle, and I look at him with understanding. "Did you think I would be afraid of you or something?"
"I have spent my whole life being feared by others." He sputters.
I take one of his clammy hands in my own. I squeeze as I hold it tight. "In the last year and a half, I've come to intimately understand that feeling."
Remus had gotten quite cold, so I placed some wood in the fireplace and cast a spell. Immediately, the room began to warm up. He and I brought our tea toward the fireplace and sat on the sofa, right next to each other. I wrapped a blanket around the both of us as we watched the embers of the bright orange glow fly onto the stones beneath it.
"As much as it is true that this condition does not make me inherently bad... I did, admittedly, do something quite evil with it in my youth. Something I regret." Remus admitted seemingly out of nowhere.
I rest a palm on his thigh. He takes my hand in his. "Would you like to tell me about it?" I ask.
"When we were teenagers, Sirius thought it would be funny to play a nasty joke on Severus. On the night of the full moon, I would forgo my wolfesbane, and Sirius would lock me in the Shrieking Shack. He would bring the unlucky bastard and then lock him in there with me." He recounts.
"Severus?" I mumble.
Remus nodded at that. "Yes. I don't remember any of it, but I hurt him. Scarred him up a bit.. James heard about the whole thing, and he got Severus out before he died, Gods forbid, but he very well could have. Died, I mean. Severus has never forgiven me for that, and I don't expect him to... I didn't do anything to stop it, and sometimes, that feels much worse than what Sirius did."
Suddenly, the tension between Snape and Remus made much more sense. My heart ached for the young boy, being tormented by kids who were bigger and cooler than him. If Sirius was capable of that, I had to imagine Snape had been through a lot in his school years at the hands of these kids.
"The fact that you can reflect on these choices and feel poorly for them tells me everything I need to know about you, Remus," I stated. "You are a good man."
His chocolate eyes meet mine, and he gives me a pathetic excuse for a smile. I take the tea from his hands and bring him down to lay in my lap. He seemed so tired, so small like this. I ran my hands through his hair. "Rest, Remus. All of this pain will be over when the sun rises. I promise."
He grips my calf and shuts his eyes. Within just moments, he is breathing deeply and has fallen fast asleep.
I heard from behind me the sound of clicking heels, but when I turned slightly to see who was there, they were gone. Unsure of whether or not it was real, I decided I would attempt to close my own eyes. Tomorrow was a new day.

First of all, I am really happy you are back with this! IDK what should be called, episode review? Or might give nice tagging imho haha ^^
Gwen in the crystal room had foreshadowed in the webtoon mobile image, she looking confused wearing her mother's robe at place with hanging crystals - whatever happen there it gonna be important!
Frederick appear as human (not teddy bear) as Gwen having flashback, but aside from her mother Lilyth/Leelathae that likely be the key of her self-love ~ I really want to see Frederick appear in Gwen dream somehow. Frederick imagining Gwen in his dream twice, is that hard to have him to interact with her? :<
The Blue, Red, and Black Plaid Royals connecting each other talk kinda funny lol
SHOWDOWN is so action packed, I need help please fellow wiki editor - we have great action scenes like lorzanna, Prez w/ sword, Saffron w/ halberd, Curtis that completely sweeps everyone with the broom, Beckett to rescue
C'mon Lance, I have faith in you to do the right thing - for Blaine I am honestly unsure but here my comment about Blaine with the context of his fear of falling

Well about Blaine redemption - honestly with the remaining episodes (I do counting with @meritre24601 and we found that CPC might lasts till Feb next year) - it's hard for him to get proper redemption backstory like Whitney, or proper character development like Frederick - because man, he seems to won't listen and do stabby stab instead like the preview image

I'm really hoping he would get redemption arc especially because of what Isolde told him in chapter 144 => well, I am not sure if he ever get proper redemption but I believe Blaine at least not irredeemable (that solely for Leland) as like other Plaid Princes, deep down they are just scared and traumatized teenager that actually groomed disgustingly by their father and never really get motherly love in their life..
Rereading ep 144, and what I get from Isolde is that she's amazed to his accomplishments (compares to Leland that demands him for more, even mocking his climbing difficult journey at ep 134) - but the best height (I see it as spot/position) for Blaine is the path that he CHOSE for himself and those around him - those around him refers to who?
If this could correlates to Frederick conversation at the library as both of them a Plaid prince, Frederick shown clearly that he only wants to doing the best for people that caring about him - ain't no way for fakes (e.g Blaine's Fan Club) .

Blaine should take that note from his lil bro - BUT the tragic thing is, he already PUSH the person that shown to cares about him (Maria) with the whole plan ESPC that stunt of "another way in".. I am not sure how this'll go, but at the end let's believe in goodness of people like have trust that Blaine isn't irredeemable
P.S:
Maybe you might think me as crazy, but I often comparing Blaine with Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series - they both fell to the darkness, pushing the girl that cares about them (Severus by calling Lily mudblood, Blaine ultimately by the letter stunt)... Sure Blaine isn't a death eater like Severus, but the falling to the darkness situation is pretty similar. Blaine's fear of falling, but I see him already falling 'to dark'
Severus Snape starting point to change is when he realized how his snooping will resulting to Lily's death, and thanks to Dumbledore he given chance to redeem - even if the second chance purity is debatable to the fandom..
Now back to the CPC, we shall see the starting point for Blaine to change. Death of his brothers?
That's a too dark suggestion, I admit..
Maybe when he could see things and listen properly amd clearly?
CPC CHAPTER 157
I'm— I just. SOB BLAINE AND FREDERICK??

Ooh!! I should've expected this room to show up in her dream. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the reflections in the sugars?? In the chapter where Frederick and Gwen was in this room, their sweet moment was interrupted by Gwen seeing her reflection in one of the sugar. Maybe the reflections will tell her something regarding her view of herself? Or maybe they will instead warn her about what's happening at the Palace's hall? (By that I mean the war)
Or perhaps...We will see Frederick?
Okay, moving on to the war—

Bruh they gotta STOP finishing each other's sentence it's driving me crazy and slowly taking my hope away from Blaine T_T
I still have my hopes on Blaine, but it's fading away veryyyy slowly. I'm trying hard to believe in him tho. Good thing I have fanfics and my imagination to help me cope through this :')
Also HECK YEAH IT'S SHOWDOWN TIME!!!
May I just say, I love Jamie speaking in Wingdings XD. I tried to translate it but weirdly it didn't translate into an understandable sentence/word. It's just gibberish.
Curtis with a broom...HE'S SO COOL?? Never underestimate butlers real (Curtis, Alfred)
Lorzanna moment!! They are adorable :D Also they are soooo gonna kick Leland's butt.
Also everyone should just use Laverne as a defense strategy here, just saying. It seems to be really effective.
Leland's threat kinda takes my interest here. What do you mean "or else I will"? Do you mean you can just literally stop what's going on right here right now? Then why not just do it now? Or by that does he mean he's going to punish the Plaid Princes in the dungeon again...or worse? Uh well at the very least all I know is LELAND SUCKS.

GO, LANCE, GO!! Betray your bs of a father and stop your big brother from succumbing to the dark side!! I have faith in you :') Honestly even though Lorena don't really understand Lance's fear of Leland and calling him a coward kinda stung, but at the same time it's kinda a wake up call for him? I guess??
Oh yeah, sorry for ruining the moment here but I've been thinking about how sick his new scars would be like it would be shapes like an X and that's so cool?!
Yeah I gotta agree with Lorena here, that was kinda creepy Leland... But Lorena's throw was amazing. Like dang..that spear must be heavy as frick and she throws it with a huge strength?? Lorena = Undyne confirmed?
Beckett to the rescue!! :D love that guy. Hopefully the misunderstanding between Maria and Gwen will clear up though :')
And lastly...the one I'm ejwnsuehw about the most...

Blaine c'mon man Blaine wait listen to me dude wait wait wait. Stop okay stop don't do this 😭😭 Literally go meditating with Whitney bro THIS IS NOT YOU. I don't think i can change you at this point but literally you don't even want to change. And this is the most difficult part because no matter how much you want to help someone, it's pointless if they don't even wanna help themselves. I'm really hoping he would get redemption arc especially because of what Isolde told him in chapter 144.
Oh! I almost forgot. Let's look into the fast pass section!

So first of all we have Blaine vs. Frederick :') but what takes my interest the most is.. The Prince vs. The Prez... Obviously the prince is Blaine, since it uses singular noun and in the thumbnail we see Blaine and Prez. But what caught my attention is "the Prez..." the prez what? The prez club? This could be something regarding cpc, or maybe Prez creates a new group? I can't wait for it to upload :D
Well that it's for today, now let me just sob on the floor while holding my plaid clothes in front of my cats again.
Mono out! (But still in to hear your thoughts)

Do you think James Potter changed and grew up in school? He was nasty as ever to Snape, and Lily didn't know the full extent of what happened in the Werewolf Incident. It seemed like that growing up happened after he was married and in the Order.
tl;dr: James Potter was always moral and didn’t need to “grow up” according to to the way his society categorizes and assigns morality
It’s a bit of a tricky subject, becausewe really know so little about James and Lily as young adults, both duringschool and after. On one hand, I’d like to think that James became a betterperson (I won’t say “grew up,” as I feel that implies that his bullyingwas simply “childish”/”boys will be boys” behavior) before he and Lily starteddating, since I’d like to think that Lily wouldn’t want to be with someone likethat. On the other hand, we also see her stifling a laugh during Snape’s WorstMemory, which isn’t an instance of her protecting herself against bigotry orhandling a situation like a teenager–she’s laughing at her supposed friend’spain and humiliation. Is it possible that feeling hurt/betrayed by Snape’ssocial decisions made her a little more callous towards Slytherins? Is it possible that she became harsher, rather than that James became kinder?Of course, even if this were the case (and I’m only using that one detail as abasis for that), this doesn’t mean that Remus’ comments about Lily’s kindnessare untrue. We have every reason to believe that she showed Remus a great dealof compassion, and was similarly a faithful friend and ally to everyone in theOrder. Yet, this is within an insular, like-minded group. By also looking atSirius, who would die for his friends but wouldn’t mind murdering anotherstudent because “Slytherins are Death Eaters,” we can see a pattern of howmorality and political affiliation are both linked and set in stark contrastwith one another. Within this mindset, there is a strong “us versus them”/”goodversus evil” mentality—of course a “good” person would want to fight peoplelike Bellatrix and Greyback—but the problem lies in the wide brushstroke thatgroups together Bellatrix/Greyback with people like Snape and Regulus. Even thefour of them have vastly different backgrounds, motivations, and moral codes, yet the Order and “good”-coded students are made blind to this in part by theway that Dumbledore’s primes the Gryffindors for the Order and allows Slytherinstudents to be alienated and absorbed into the Death Eater fold. By usingpolitics to erase the potential for bipartisan understanding and compassion, Dumbledorecreates what seems to be a morally unambiguous conflict, which encourages thepeople coded as “good” to take up the fight without question. Interestinglyenough, this is the exact opposite of Sirius’ “there aren’t just goodpeople and Death Eaters” quote, though JKR has commented on this inconsistency:
“Sirius is very good at spouting bits of excellent personalphilosophy, but he does not always live up to them. For instance, he says in“Goblet of Fire” that if you want to know what a man is really like,‘look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.’ But Sirius loathesKreacher, the house-elf he has inherited, and treats him with nothing butcontempt. Similarly, Sirius claims that nobody is wholly good or wholly evil, and yet the way he acts towards Snape suggests that he cannot conceive of anylatent good qualities there. Of course, these double standards exist in most ofus; we might know how we ought to behave, but actually doing it is a differentmatter.”But I’ve gotten away from the question somewhat. People seemconvinced that James must have changed, but I don’t see any more evidence ofthat than of the contrary. In fact, now that I’m thinking of it, it may havebeen James’ environment that changed, rather than his behavior. During school,he makes it his business to torment Snape, who he codes as “bad/DeathEater” (in a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy), and then after school,he joins a group that fights Death Eaters. His “fighting” Snape at schoolis nothing more than practice for the real world, where this behavior isno longer “bullying” but “heroism.” (And at times rightfully so—thereis no question that Voldemort is evil and must be stopped.) However, it’s alsovery interesting that this transition happens so seamlessly, which again, issomething that I believe can be laid at Dumbledore’s feet due to the way heencourages the polarization of the student body and refuses to address the waythat Voldemort has manipulated the definition of Slytherin values in order tobuild his following. In other words, this political environment turns Hogwartsinto a kind of training ground in which certain moral categories areestablished and children are taught who is “the enemy.” We see this in ThePrince’s Tale before they are even sorted, as I’ve pointed out in a previousdiscussion:
“James immediately establishes that hesubscribes to the idea that all Slytherins are evil: he says to Sirius, afterhe admits that his whole family has been in Slytherin, “I thought you seemedalright!” Neither Snape nor Sirius have voiced any opinions on blood purity orDark magic, but James already categorizes them on a moral level based on theiraffiliation to Slytherin. When Snape sneers at James’ desire to be inGryffindor (to be fair, he is just dishing out what James just served him), healso categorizes James based on house stereotypes: Gryffindor as “brawny ratherthan brainy.” In the next moment, we see Sirius weigh his knowledge of hisfamily with this Slytherin reputation and then throw his weight behind the boyin the car who is clearly going to win this fight: “Where’re you planning togo, seeing as you’re neither?” Sirius has no idea whether Snape is clever ornot, and clearly the comment is just his way of announcing his allegiance. (Asif to say, “I don’t want to be a bad guy like those Slytherins; I’m going to beas nasty as possible to anyone with that affiliation to prove to my new friendthat I’m not one of them.”) Lily, of course, has no dialogue through thisentire altercation, because she doesn’t know what it “means” to be a Gryffindoror a Slytherin.
With this in mind, it actually makes lesssense for James to have changed between school and his time in the Order, becauseagain, according to this moral structure, he was never doing anything wrong. Hisbehavior went from going unchecked (at school) to being rewarded (in theOrder). In fact, the only person who ever criticizes this behavior is Lily, because as I’ve pointed out, she was raised outside the system and (for awhile) judges people based only on their moral or immoral decisions—notaccording to whatever their house categorizes them as. Of course, onemuggleborn and a low-class half-blood are no match for the system, and so thesecategorizations appear to be substantiated by the end of their friendship, leaving Lily to confirm that “Slytherins are bad” and Snape to question, “Am Ibad?”There remains the question of James saving Snape during thewerewolf incident, but I’ve written before about how that “prank” could’vemeant death for Remus as much as it meant death for Snape. I believe James wassaving the former rather than the latter, judging by both that context and thefact that SWM happens after thewerewolf incident, showing that James has not developed any sense of compassionor morality in this regard. (This also makes Dumbledore’s insistence that Snapeowes James a life debt even more infuriating to Snape, and adds to his sense ofbeing unsupported and demonized by the Gryffindor-coded administration.)Though, going back to my last point, I use the term “morality” veryloosely, because what’s the difference between fighting evil Death Eaters atschool or out of school?Again, I’m not convinced that this line of reasoning hasenough textual evidence to say that it’s for certain, but I do think it firmlyholds its own when viewed through this political lens. Though, even if all thiscould be argued with certainty, it still doesn’t make either James orLily “bad” people any more than Snape, Sirius, or Regulus are “bad”people, so much as victims of a highly divisive war in which the opposing sidesuse the structure of an education system to prime their recruits. If Jamesnever changed, this does not mean that he wasn’t a good, loving husband andfather. It doesn’t change the fact that he was prepared to face Voldemortwandless and selflessly accept death in the hope that his wife and child couldescape. To reiterate, if James never changed, then it was likely because hisenvironment wasn’t conducive to that change, and because his behavior wasn’t calledinto question or deemed immoral. Snape, Sirius, Remus, and even Dumbledore fallinto that category even more readily—they remain stagnant because they areemotionally isolated, and because their various flawed and destructive mindsetsfall into the status quo of this system.
If you noticed an evolution of opinionfrom my first comment to now, it’s because I hadn’t quite thought of thequestion through this particular lens. Perhaps we assume that James changedbecause we also struggle to cast off this strict paradigm of “good” versus“bad,” and to accept that his changing or not changing does not make him one orthe other. As always, I am firmly against being “anti-Marauders” or “anti-Snape”or “anti-Dumbledore,” and instead in favor of grasping at the kind ofinterpersonal empathy that this generation was deprived of—and deeply harmedby.please ask me more questions. like there went my afternoon but also wow look atthat developing nuance
thank you~

Hey love! Hope you're well!
Idk if you take requests but I was wondering if you could do an arranged marriage trope with Sirius Black (non voldy au ofc)
Completely understand if you don't wanna write it, have a great day!
I certainly can and I definitely will, anony
Thank you for requesting and THANK YOU for the kind words. I hope you have the best of times! xoxo
tw: implication of child abuse, past trauma + its triggers discussed briefly, 2 knives and a bleeding cut (ritualic, non violent), non sexual half-nudity(?), alcohol (drinkers are of age), a sexist comment (that is reprimanded quickly by anogher character), one smoking scene, both Sirius and reader are of age to be married, kinda enemies to lovers,
- I really wish you like it <3
~ sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience. I hope I made it worthy of it
I'm nervous because it's pretty unconventional, but here we go:
The Abc of magic folks for marriage
(sorry, couldn't decide which suit screams after Hogwarts, no Azkaban Sirius getting married better. Thoughts?)
masterlist and requests
A/N: a collection of short-ish drabbles about y/n and Sirius' marriage, not in chronological order
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
Anouncement
Sirius Orion Black, the most wanted bachelor, you read the title and roll your eyes. "Perfect. Exactly what his ego needs," you say annoyed. "A whole article about himself. And on the first page too! Absolutely horrendous."
Next to you, your good friend since Hogwarts chuckles, erupting in a burst of laughs when you shoot her a glare. "Not funny, y/fr/n," you hissed.
"Oh, come on, y/n. It is a bit funny. You're making a fuss out of petty entertainment." At your lack of reply, she continues. "Besides, you do have to admit he's positively lush." And with that she picks up one of the many papers that have Sirius' face printed on their front pages.
Your friend keeps walking so you throw a Knuts at the man behind the counter and hurry to catch up. "Blimey!" She says so loud she startles you.
"Merlin's sake, y/fr/n, what?"
"Oh, this is gold. This is so gold." She carries on, pointedly ignoring your questioning looks. In between grins and giggles, she breaths out a "no way," every now and then.
"Alright, this is getting too far. What's so good about that stupid article?" You snatch the paper from her, moving your eyes quickly over the columns of letters. The journalist must have been a new one, the pacing is too thrilled, begging for attention. But that's not what made your nosetrils flare, mouth hanging open and muscles flexing and pulsing with disdain. The subject debated on for two bloody pages, was rather the Black family signing a marriage deal with your family was a good call or not. A marriage deal, for you and Sirius Black. A shiver ran through your bones. You knew your parents were in deep talks with the Blacks, but you assumed they'd let you know first. Or at least give you a heads up before making it public.
"Y/n? You good?"
"Yes, of course. Brilliant, even." You snaped, gritting your teeth together.
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
Somewhere in muggle London, a young man walked aimlessly under the raining sky. His denim jacket soaked, his socks splashing every time he stepped, his hair laying damp on his scalp. But Sirius didn't care. He kept walking, his pace quickening or slowing depending on the tone of his internal debate.
Just that morning Sirius Black found out he is to be a married wizard in less than a month. His to be spouse? No other than y/n y/l/n. The stucked up posh who never missed a chance to get the marauders in troubles over a silly, funny prank. The very one who never fell for his charms when pursuited. And the same person who made a fool out of himself by pretending to date him and then mocking him just to prove a point.
Of course, Sirius was no saint, he could admit it. There are certain things he sees better now, understand how exagerated they were. But accepting his past mistakes does not, under any circumstances mean he'd be happy living with that, that... pillock!
But, of course, his family wouldn't hear of it. The y/l/ns are, after all, powerful, wealthy and influencial people. It'd do good to have them in the mix. And, as the heir of the house, such ordeals were his burden to carry. Whoever invented politics could crisp in hell, Sirius thought, just when one of those muggle weird inventions drove through a muddy pond and splashed him.
"Perfect," Sirius muttered to himself. "Now this day can't get any worse." He stated, trying to clean himself up – not without difficulty as the streets were filled with muggles who couldn't see him wave a wand and dry himself and the long hair kept attacking his blazing silver eyes.
Bachelor
The salon was quiet. Backround music carrying the tune of light chattery and phony laughs. Stuffed with the entirety of the wizarding elite from all over the world parading around the room, flaunting their neat robes and expensive jewels, using the gathering as an opportunity to form new alliances or strengthen the old ones, the large room suddenly became suffocating.
You found your refugee near the closed door leading to the terrace, needing to escape all the congratulations from the elder people and jealous glares from the youths. You were also trying very hard to avoid a certain tall, raven haired, grey eyed wizard. The party was thrown for both of you, to honor your past lives and celebrate the approaching engagement. Tomorrow. If you had to be tied to Sirius Black for the rest of your days, you'd rather have one more evening free of him.
You pondered seeking your friends, but you escapes them minutes ago for a reason. They all seemed so happy for you, enjoying themselves at the party... you didn't want to ruin their time. Besides, you had quite the talk with your parents, reminding you to not act out when so close of success. Of course, you always knew this day would come. As the future of your House it was your job to secure the best alliances by any means available. And marrying the heir of the House of Black was the best move you could play into. Besides, your parents wouldn't just throw you off to a wretched man. They researched Sirius, checked carefully for signs against him. And come out with nothing, the sole problem being his itching presence, pushing all your buttons.
You couldn't stand his voices, especially when denying his upbringing and talking like a commoner. You dreaded when he'd open his mouth only to speak a snarky comment or make a side joke. Because, of course, he can't waste one precious second of his time to be serious. And the sarcastic answers he gave to teachers or people who confronted him on a regular... argh! Even thinking about it heated you up with anger. The sight of him alone could send you on a rampage. With his superior smirk as if he owned the place, the bored eye roll, the casual leaning on his friends or really any people whom he came in contact with. Not to mention how irresponsably Sirius constantly plays with his wand: throwing it upwards, letting it flip in the air and catching it only to start again.
"I need some air," you said to no one in particular, just in case someone would be looking for you. But upon exciting the building and dragging your steps in the garden, you saw no other than Sirius Black, poised still as a statue under a dogwood tree. He wore his leather jacket against the cold, but the sleeves were rolled up 'til under his elbows and you could see the perked skin. Underneath, his elegant robes proudly stood out, ironed to perfection and embroidered with his family's crest, the motto and, of course, the slytherin snake (though someone added a clumsy lion next to it).
Sirius' face never moved from the starry sky. If his abdomen didn't rise and relax periodically to signal his vitality, you'd have assumed him a statue, a new addition to the backyard. "I know I'm irresistable, but are y'goin' to stare all night?"
"Sure. Wouldn't want to miss the exact moment you turn into ice," you bite back.
"Didn't know you cared," Sirius cooed mockingly. "So nice of you, chertè."
"I don't. It'd just be satisfying to watch you freeze."
"Auch," Sirius finally turned to look at you, a hand shooting up to clunch his chest. "You've hurt me, y/n."
"I doubt it. Nothing I say can pass that thick ego of yours."
His eyes dropped to the ground for just one second before turning his gaze back to the night's horizont. Completely ignoring you. Sirius looked deeply in thought and for the first time you furrowed your brows at him in concern, not annoyance. Before you could change your mind, you asked "Why are you here alone? There are dozens of adoring witches and wizards wanting to gawk at you while they still can."
"Thanks, but no. I'm fine'ere, by myself, where I don't have to cater to anyone's expectations." He spitted, enough judgement in his voice to silence even the rustle of leaves for a few seconds.
You took it as a sign to leave him be, but later that night you learned that a group of wild, loud gryffindors disturbed the peaceful streets and Sirius' absence was noticed by one too many guests. It seems the heir of Black had a proper muggle bachelor party.
Cake testing
Normally, a whole day of eating sweets for free would be a dream come true for you. But of course the reality cut the joy off it. You were in your favorite cake shop in Diagon Alley, your mother excitingly pointing assortment after assortment of different colored cakes. Some were glazing pink with strawberry cream, others were dressed in caramel and chocolate. And the baker made sure to you had a taste of each.
Maybe you could have ignored the reason you did all that, if not for Walburga Black's and her son's presence. The older witch kept denying your every choice. The one layered cake was too simple, the cherry filling one was not sweet enough, the three types of chocolate cream was too sweet.
"You are marrying into the wealthiest, purest family in the wizarding world, y/n. It has to show."
"Sirius, dear," y/m/n tries to involve her future son in law in the discussion. He hasn't said a word since you got inside the store, instead prompting off a wall and watching the events unfold in front of him with disdain. "What do you think?"
Not that he could actually have any ideas. He didn't touch the samples, that weirdo. "I think we should be more open," he shrugged. "There's a nice cake shop downtown muggle London. Mrs. Potter used to take me and James there over the breaks."
You snorted. Now, he was just looking for troubles. Arsehole.
His mother inhaled deeply, flexing her fingers around her wand. And you notice Sirius tensing, straightening up away from the casual comfort of the wall. "Sirius Orion Black, do not speak such nonsense!"
Now the store owner and the other customers stared at the four of you. "Walburga, do you care for a walk?" Your mother soothed the situation before it escalated into something harder to repair. "Let the kids have some time to choose together the cake for their own wedding."
As soon as the women walked out, you sat up and went to Sirius. Crossing your arms in front of you, you ranted "What was that all about? Pissing off everyone around you about this wedding won't make it go away, you know? It'll still happen, rather we like it or not, so don't make it worse than it has to be."
Sirius rolled his eyes and passed by you, taking the table seat you left. "But why should I make it easier? Besides," he quickly add before you could answer, "your mom asked for my opinion and I delivered. I really do like muggle cakes."
"Aren't they the same? What's so special?"
Your future husband picked up a fork and plunged it into a slice of cake: a three layered with too much rom syrup. He made a show out of twirling the bite before grazing his teeth over it, swallowed and dropped the fork back on the platter. "They don't use magic to bake. Everything is more... authentic. It makes it better."
"Come on, you only had a taste of the worst cake so far. Try another. Here, this one's better." You brought a piece of bitter chocolate and berries creamed in front of him.
"Will you try a muggle one too?" He eyed the cake bite skeptically, a brow rose in challenge.
A scoff begin to climb its way on your face, but a stray thought made it stop. It may have been curiosity, or the realization that Sirius wasn't in the wrong to ask you this. Or maybe the fact that you spent five minutes with Sirius without being at each other's throats that pushed you to agree.
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
You couldn't believe you snuck out with Sirius Black. To go to a muggle store, out of all places. But you secretly enjoyed it more than you should have. The thrill of running away, looking over your shoulder to see if your mother is paying attention or not. The giddiness of taking turn after turn through narrow streets, like playing in a labyrinth.
"You've done this before, haven't you?" You asked the man with a wide, free, joyous grin plastered on his face. With sparkling eyes speaking of defiance and wild hair breaking its tie and flowing behind him. Sirius looked at ease, natural and genuine and you felt like you've just seen the wizard for the first time.
"As many times I could." He briefly wiped his head backwards to look at you. You sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose. You should have expected it. "We're here," he declares and opens a door with large gestures. Right before you could fully step in, Sirius makes way and bows to his waist. "Welcome to my humble sweet shop, your grace."
You roll your eyes and playfully push him. He pays for both, since you don't have any muggle money and your family name and the fact that you're getting married means nothing to the owner. "I'll pay you back, Black."
"No need. Just, take m'side on this and we're good." Sirius offers, reaching for one of the cakes he bought. He pushes one your way as well, but he doesn't eat his slice. He stares expectantly at you.
"You won't drop the idea, right?" You sigh. Sirius raises an eyebrow implicitly. "Fine," you relent, "if it's any good, then I'll speak to mother about it. Though I doubt it'll happen."
Your eyes open wide and a moan breaks through closed lips before you could stop it. You feel your cheeks heating in embarrassment, but Sirius doesn't reprimand you. He simply let his head fall back and laughs wholeheartedly. His nose scrunches up in delight and his eyes became alive as the sound carries on. You couldn't help but notice how cute he looks like, or compare the laugh to an harmony of bells and flutes.
"I'll take that as a yes for muggle cake. I won."
Decorations
"Not green!" Sirius groaned as you picked up a fluffy garland, fitting for both indoors and outdoors events.
"Stop being such a child, Sirius. It's just a color and the garland is sublime." You don't even look at him when you speak, too focused on the beautiful thread in your hands. You knew Sirius disliked the color green, due to his family's disposition towards it. How it's exposed everywhere in their house, a proud lineage of predominant slytherins. But you didn't expect it to run so deep that he'd object to a simple decoration.
"It's just like any other, y/n," he retorts. So fast you barely had time to notice, Sirius snatches another thread from the pile on display and holds it out for you to see. You fold the green one and roll it around your arm before resting your hands at the back of your hips. "That," you say, making a face at him, "is disgusting."
Sirius is ready to snap something back when he takes a double look at the bright yellow and pink garland he picked. He scowls and throws it back as quick as possible, then points a finger at you. "Do not say anything."
"Wasn't going to," you shrug and try to move forward. Your parents were checking out some places, which means you and Sirius had to choose the decorations by nightfall. And you just begun. It turned out it wouldn't be an easy job, with how opinionate Sirius was. You had to beg him to accept the beige table sheets and argued upon floral arrangements (he wanted lilies of different sizes and colors, while you wanted roses. Eventually, you both settled for a combination of flowers that included lilies, roses and some more to compliment the two mentioned before).
"I didn't say we're taking that one either," he fishes the thread from your grip and carelessly throws it back.
"Sirius!" You whine exasperated. "We don't have all day; there's a lot of stuff on our list, mostly from your mother, just so you know."
"Ok, fine, pick another one and that's it. Just not green. Please," he adds before you could interject. And his voice is broken and weak when he says it, a glossy look freezing the silver of his eyes.
You purse your lips together, beating down the curiosity that rises within your stomach. Nodding, you hook a white and black thread and start walking. You suddenly feel a weight on your shoulder and realize with a start it's Sirius' hand. "Thank you."
You brush it off. "It's better this way, actually. Can't go wrong with something as conventionaly elegant as black and white."
He hums and retreats his hand as if your shoulder burned him. The rest of your shopping was quite a quiet experience.
Engagement
You loosened the buttons of your ceremony robes when your parents weren't looking. Oxygen seemed to never be enough for your hungry lungs, restrained under tight layers of expansive material that itched your skin and strangled your throat. At least Sirius didn't look any better. His blood traitors, half bloods and muggle borns friends were forbiden to participate and his own clothes seemed to pain him as much as yours did you.
Wizarding folks watched from afar as you and Sirius' families draw a circle on the ground. They muttered blessings as they draw a circle of tamed flames around you and the Black heir. You knew the words by heart. The magic engagement meant bonding your souls together, your magic; the very essence of your beings becoming one. You were, however worried. Not just because you couldn't predict what Sirius might do, but also because the idea of being tied to him stressed the living breath out of you.
"Do you have it?" You ask, voice sharper than intended. Sirius hums an affirmative answer, but doesn't speak. His fingers are curled around each other, nails scratching lightly along the bony, long piano-build structures. His neck is flexing with each gulp. The grey of his eyes reflects the fire around yourselves. Both in ferocity and obedience.
You nod tightly. "Don't do something stupid, Black."
Sirius fixes you with a strange look. As if it pained him to see you. Or to be there, in the magic circle. Bonding himself to a person he didn't particulary care for. He looked like he could fell any second, the currently draw back shoulders slumping forward in defeat. The rebel inside, who defied family and rules for all his life, couldn't find a way out of this one.
He unsheets a pointy, small dagger. Could have been a needle to a tired eye. You do the same with a square blade the size of a kid toy. You grip each other hands, fingers entwined, as the free ones lay palm open, bare for the knives. Together, you gently cut through each. The leaking blood stops quickly and behind it a strident scar is left. Then you feel it. His magic battling against its container, anger raging, panic settling, dread floating and a powerful hint of fear. Though it doesn't linger, it doesn't go away either. It's a constant presence.
Sirius is paler than usual. You don't know if he acknowledges your range of emotions yet, or if he noticed the pull of your magic. You weren't going to ask, either. All you wanted to do was go home and think of this day no more.
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
The feeling of peace tasted weird. It didn't belong to him, Sirius knew. But he felt it just as strong. He envied you for it, for feeling safe and secure, content and happy on a dayly basis. Even if something happened and you surrendered to heartache and despair, you could always return to that deposit of serenity and tranquility when all was done.
He also felt your distaste for the upcoming marriage, which, after the bonding ceremony, was more a social obligation. A reason to show off to other pure bloods. Sirius tried to escape, run off to Potter, keep a low profile and wait until they found something else to focus on. But his parents caught him. And threatened to divulge Lupin as a werewolf to the Ministry. So he had to play by their rules this time, the one time that truly affected his life.
First date
In the days between your engagement and wedding day, yours and Sirius' family insisted upon getting to know each other better. They even set you up in a nice, new place, a romantic gem hidden in wizarding London.
The quiet at your table was heavy. You sipped from your third drink, needing to do something else except for siting awkwardly and counting the minutes until it's acceptable for you to go.
"This is stupid," Sirius mumbled, getting on his feet so suddenly you jumped in your seat.
"What are you doing? Where are you going? Sirius!" If your families found out you went your separate ways, chaos would issue. "Get back here this instant."
"I'm not a married man yet, y/n. Can do what I want." And with that he was out the door.
"Oh, sticks and brooms!" You grunt annoyed and followed him. To your shock and horror, there was no trace of him on the pathway. Only a never ending stream of people, going up and down the street. And a huge black dog disturbing them. You narrow your eyes and furrow your brows. Odd, you thought as you followed him. You didn't understand why, but a clear pull called you to the quadruped. Similiar to the... no! It can't be, can it?
"Sirius?" You felt stupid for a brief second until the dog actually stopped. He turned around in the empty dead end street he lead you to and you could swear his eyes widened and his bot moved like a human mouth trying to process information. "Merlin's beard, you really are Sirius! But how? Why? What's going on?"
In an instant, the dog turned to his human form, Sirius Black rushing towards you. A hand over your mouth to keep you silence and the other arm around your neck to guide you further more down the street, Sirius shushed you. "Can you be any louder, y/n?"
"Yes if I don't get an explanation."
Sirius ran a hand through his hair. "Fine," he sighed. "But not here."
Half an hour later you found yourself in a muggle restaurant, wolfing down something you weren't sure what it was, but tasted delicious. You listened to Sirius' story and couldn't stop a pang of admiration from settling inside your heart. Maybe he and his friends weren't that bad, after all. "Impressive, Black. Very noble of you all."
Sirius froze with his glass at his lips. "Was that a compliment, y/l/n?" He feigned surprise, exagerating it so much it made you laugh.
"Quit it! It's not that weird."
"I beg to differ. You were always stepping on our toes like the stuck up perfect little pureblood."
"I was a prefect," you roll your eyes. "And you boys were thinking only about pranks."
"Better make people laugh than scorn." He argued.
You took a sip. "Perhaps," you gave in. You were actually enjoying the night so far and you started to see a side of Sirius you didn't know existed. Not the rebel, not the egocentric marauder and not the shame on his family's name. But the loyal, the easygoing, the selfless.
"Chertè! If you agree with me one more time I might have a heart attack."
"Tempting."
"Very funny," he deadpanned.
"Relax. I wouldn't let you die on me... At least not until we're married and I have your money."
"Y/n," Sirius choke on his food. And then barked out a very inproper laugh. Strangely enough, you didn't mind. You liked the care free sound of it and the shamelessly cute nose wrinkle that came with it. Unlike the manner book taught you and the other pureblood kids, the Black heir wear his heart on his sleeves, showing with every inch of his body how he was feeling. "For what in Merlin's name would you need my money. You're stinky rich yourself."
"Only if I marry right," you shrugged, hoping to not show how much it bothered you. Sirius' face morphed in confusion. So sudden it took you by surprise.
"What do you mean?"
"You know, the rules." At his even deeper confusion, you continued astonished. "We only inherit our fortunes if we make sure to be worthy of it. Marry the right person, support the right party, behave the right way. I scored two out of three already. Guess that's why they're so prone on you marrying me out of all people. And as soon as possible." You tried to keep the resent away, but failed miserably if his fallen face was any hint of that. You could have been visiting the world as you always wanted if Walburga and Orion Black didn't need a perfect match for their stray son.
"I'm sorry," Sirius said, though he himself wasn't sure what for. It just felt like he hurt you somehow, even by mistake. Then a thought crossed his mind and he asked. "You don't want this either, do you?"
"I was planning to go on as many trips and hikes all over the world with my friends. So draw your own conclusions."
"I wanted to become an Auror and help people." But with the title he'd bestow once a married wizard of his ancestry, he'd be clenched in the foul grip of politics, you both knew that.
"I didn't know," your tone was apologetical. In the silence that followed, you and Sirius pondered over your brief, revealing conversation, the will to eat the rest of your food now gone.
"Think we should get outta here?"
You eyed him weirdly. "What for? Where? –" you added once you thought better about it.
"No fun in tellin'. Are y'coming?"
Curiosity won your inner battle and you followed Sirius Black out into the night. He showed you the beauty of muggle London through parks filled with kids playing a strange game with a ball ‐ pretty much like Quidditch on the ground; he took you to see street lamps lit up one by one without magic, their light shining in the rain water retained on the cobble street. "Beautiful," you whisper without meaning to say it out loud once your long walk came to an end in front of your house.
Sirius pretend he didn't hear you. He unlocked his arm from yours and bid you goodbye. He would walk all the way home instead of using your floo, he needed it to sort through his head. Because he started thinking there's more to you than an entitled brat and he couldn't make sense of it.
Gifts
"It's not going to splash me with some sort of weird spell, right?" You ask, eyeing the box Sirius is handing you suspiciously.
"I already swore it won't. Open it already, chertè." Sirius urges you again, this time pushing the box into your open palms. In Hogwarts, he and his friends used to put small gifts on people's chairs in class before spring break. It always looked like a departing gift, or Easter presents – for those celebrating – a nice, thoughtful gesture. And it always proved to be a mass prank. One year they were ribbons of colors attaching to the opener's face. Students had to go home painted in blue or red, yellow or green, purple, pink and even weird combinations.
Another time, the marauders managed to hex the box to spill the opener's latest lies. And there, of course, was the notorious year when the boys filled the boxes with neverending goo that spurred out and stuck to wizards and witches hair and robes. It took months to be fully clean of it. You earned the right to not trust a pretty wrapped gift coming from Sirius Black. Especially since you failed to see a reason for receiving it in the first place.
"Fine, fine. Merlin! You're so insistent." You breath deeply once, exhale slowly and open the box. You narrow your brows in confusion, reaching for the object inside. Then, as soon as your fingers touch it and you can make sense of reality, your eyes widen, tears gather under your lids and your mouth hangs open.
"Sirius," you whisper. "This is..." but you can't find your words. "How did you know?"
"Lucky guess?" He offers, though you can tell it's more to it than that. So you fix your e/c eyes on him, coercing him to speak. It's the second best thing you can do: keeping yourself distracted to not cry happy tears as if you two were a pair hopelessly in love and not a political stunt.
"Remember in fifth year," Sirius gave in, "when you got in that debate with Binns?" You nod, surprised he recalled it. History of Magic was the most hated subject, simply because of how hard it was to stay awake during the lecture and then realizing studying had to be done with own forces, rather than a lot of help from the teacher. But you liked it. You always thought that if witches and wizards would just give it a chance and show some interest, they'd share your opinion.
You didn't complain, though. Since it gave you a free pass to talk to Binns about anything regarding the subject. Most days, the class unfolded as a dialogue between you and the teacher. Which had been the case in the last weeks of the fifth year when you became invested in legends and preserved artifacts from the past.
"Of course. I'm surprised you do."
"Yeah, well, your little chats with Binns were the only interesting things that ever happened in that class. This one in particular, since it lasted the most and neither of you seemed to accept the other's ideas too soon," Sirius explained. "So I did some digging and found this. Thought you'd like it."
You did. The old, dusty piece inside the box had to be the most thoughtful, beautiful gift someone ever gave you. And to think it came from Sirius Black, no less. It astonished you.
"Yes, thank you! But why?"
"No reason," Sirius dismissed your question with a wave of his hand. "You've not been completely insufferable, so..."
You huff and smack his arm lightly. "I have nothing for you, though."
"That's not true. You already gave me the only gift I wanted." He didn't say what that was. You didn't ask.
Honey moon
You kiss Sirius' shoulder as his muscles flex with the weight of your suitcases. You waited in line at the airport, ready to fly over the sea the muggle way. Sirius turned his head to smile at you, a warm, happy stretch of lips so wide you feared it might break his cheekbones. The two of you were about to embark on a trip around the world, courtesy of all your friends' wedding gifts covering up the costs you couldn't present to your parents. Visiting both wizarding and muggle places, enjoying together of their beauty. Or adventure, as you were sure Sirius would find one.
As you waited for your line to advance, you thought back on the rocky beginning of you and your husband relationship. Now, you shook your head in fond embarrassment remembering how you viewed him. And how he viewed you. The way your brain would fight the impulses to smile and laugh, to relax and talk to him about your pain and share your joy; to comfort him and hear his opinions, to cling to him in strong hugs and thread your fingers through his fluffy hair. You promptly ignore your heartbeats speeding whenever your eyes landed on him. The feeling only deepened, but now you knew he felt the same. And you could lean in and kiss those soft lips whenever you wanted.
Sirius' mind wondered in similar places. He decided to not indulge the anger boiling beneath him. His parents wanted to control every aspect of his life, including the honey moon. Reason for what the two of you left for it three months later. After Sirius' refusal to participate in his required activities in the Ministry proved fruitful and you were allowed to do as you pleased. Instead, he forced his brain towards more happy memories. How your disdain in your eyes slowly turned into love. How the curl of your lips became sincere. How your voice gained power and confidence, entrusting him to listen. The way he felt a literal chain unlocking from around his spirit with each light tease, each story shared. And to think he is going to have you all for himself for a whole month, living a combination of both of your most burning dreams.
The honeymoon went better than either of you could have dreamed of. Lazy mornings filled with cuddles and kisses. Late nights slow dancing under the stars or blasting Sirius' favorite rock songs. Visiting places you've longed to see and making it all better by having your husband at your side. Annoying him talking over the guide to provide more details, but he secretly adored it. You pretending to be mad when he'd turn into Padfoot and run wild and free in parks. You relaxed into each other, gave all of yourselves in that unexpected love that blossomed when you thought it impossible.
Intimacy
Your hand flew to Sirius' head resting in your lap. Your fingers brushed his forehead, threading through his hair before returning to massage the tensed muscles on his face. He sighed. Content, happy, at peace as never before. He caught your hand gently by the wrist and brought it to his lips. "I love you," his warm breath tingled your skin before the sensation disappeared to make way for the one of his soft mouth pressing onto it.
"And I, you," you whispered fiercely, touching your foreheads together. In a quick, swift movement, the wizard stole you a kiss on the lips. Your head tilted backwards, joyous laughs bursting out of your chest. "You, devilish trickster!" You teased.
And Sirius smirked. He burried his face in your thigh, nuzzling his nose into it and letting his body loose with laughter. "You knew it when you married me, chertè."
"Well," you begin, running your fingers over his spine, ending with grasping his shoulder and applying needed pressure. "I didn't have much of a choice back then."
"Ouch," the man protested when you hit a sensitive spot a bit too harsh (on purpose or not, he'll never know). "Neither did I, y/n." He turned his head to look up at you. "But I wouldn't change a thing if I could."
"I know." You mused and allowed your body to shift until you laid on the couch next to him. Hiding your head in the crook of his neck, you mumbled, "I wouldn't either, my loveliest."
Jerk
For you and Sirius both, summer meant exquisite parlor parties, select picnics at the countryside and aching, meaningless small talk. You always tried to find reasons to enjoy it and so, make it past it. But Sirius wouldn't smile at one of these events if his life depended on it. Once, while still in school, he even smuggled his friend, Potter, in and made food fly and drinks splash when picked up.
Now, as your name was tied by him due to your engagement, you couldn't help but be nervous for the first time in a long, long while. The entirety of pureblood community in England knew Sirius is to be your husband. Thus only meaning his behavior would shine bad on you too from now on. You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose. Really, what were your parents thinking?
"Ready, y/n, dearest?" Your mother asked. You adjusted your robe in the mirror and hurried down the stairs.
"Ready, mother."
"You seem distrust. Did something happened?" You father said concerned.
"No. No. All is good." Or at least, you'll make sure it'll be.

Your family arrived due expected time. The Blacks were already there: Walburga, back straight and livid as always, plucking her lips in disgust at everyone she deemed unimportant; Orion, as dazed as normally, deeply thinkering over one of his thesis; Regulus, proud and stoic, observing from afar his surroundings and the people navigating through. And lastly, Sirius, looking pained to breath the same air with the pearl of wizarding society. Although he wore the robes with elegancy and could be a gentleman if he wanted to – always peppered with sarcasm, but not always ingenuine – it was clear as daylight he wanted nothing more but to slump his shoulder, grab his leather jacket and fly on his engine through muggle streets.
"Y/n, hello!" Regulus greeted when you and your parents worked your way to reach them.
"Hello, Regulus. Walburga –" a nod of your head in the witch's dirrection, "Orion –" another nod. "Sirius," you said at last.
For a few seconds, he did nothing. Then, he smirked and, with a theatrical bow and exaggerated fluid movements, Sirius Black grabbed your hand delicately and softly touched his lips to it. "Always a pleasure to see you, chèrte."
And even knowing it was but a spectacle, that he must put a show to feel good in his shoes, your heart fluttered at the pet name. It meant nothing and you knew it and still... the way he spoke, his voice rasping over the skin of your hand, the little smile playing on his lips while his eyes locked with yours made it impossible to keep your cool.
"Maybe we should leave them alone, no?" Your mother winked at you and, without waiting for an answer, moved the two families towards a small crowd by the river's banks.
You let out an audible groan. Sirius kept his cool. He was leaning on the table behind him casually, a small white roll in between his fingers. "Want some?" He asked in a bored tone. You shot him a confused look. "It's a cigarette," he sighed, "muggle."
"Oh," was all you said, prompting him to huff in annoyance. He brought the thing to his lips and sucked in on it, blowing off a mouthful of smoke. You scrunched up your nose, closing your eyes at the burning, unpleasant smell.
"Sirius!" You hissed. But he pressed his fingers to your lips, careful not to touch you with the burning object. "T, t, t, none of that now. You don't want either of our parents find our cigarette, do you?"
"Ours? Please," you rolled your eyes, snapping his hand away. "You're the only one idiotic enough to try muggle shit."
A smirk crept unto his face. He mouthed a small spell under his breath as he puffed another blow of smoke your way. "Maybe, but it's hard to tell your innocence when you smell like me." And with that, he stomped the fire and placed the cigarette under his ear, walking away from your too stunned to speak form with a wink.
Kids
"I'm not sure how I feel about kids." You blew up one day. You knew it was expected of both you and Sirius, by both your families, to carry on the y/l/n bloodline and the Black name. But it was all moving too fast!
"Oh, Merlin!" Sirius breathed out. "I can't picture myself taking care of a kid anytime soon."
"Yeah, or ever... maybe. I don't know."
Sirius shrugged. "Don't worry 'bout it. Beisdes, if we change our minds and it's too late, we can adopt."
"Our parents would most likely disown us for this conversation alone."
He only lifted a shoulder and tilted his head. You suspected that being an animagus, Padfoot was rubbing off on him. And viceversa. "I couldn't care less and you know it."
Love
You felt like waking up from a dream. One so real you questioned its veracity. Your brain, a pile of smudged thoughts crushing one into the other, unable to form anything coherent. Just the tingling feeling on your lips. The image of his soft face so close to yours. His mouth lightly parted, containing a crumb of surprise. His long, black locks framing your face as his eyes bore into yours.
Heart fluttering. Hands clutching the blanket over your head in tight fists. After your wedding, Sirius went off with his friends, leaving you to return to your own house. Which you didn't mind, at least at first. But as sleep drowned your mind and senses felt numb and airy, your thoughts drifted to him. The meaningless kiss at the end...
Sirius. Sirius. Sirius. The tall young man with sad silver eyes. Pain dressed as humor, hurting becoming sarcasm, frustration irony. Jokes over jokes never truly lit his eyes up with living and joy. Then, the wizard would glance at his friends kissing, his other friends loving themselves in their bodies; he'd see a proud Gryffindor kid in the first year proclaiming to find the notorious marauders map; get lost in a song, memories playing clearly in his moving eyes under closed lids; Sirius would catch a glimpse of happiness in other people's lives and his mouth would twist on its own in a gentle, genuine smile. The lead of his pupils would soften in a black-and-white picture (of a snowy landscape, with a solitary tree hovering over birds with broken wings).
Sirius Black. Talking just to hear himself talk. Turning into an Animagus for his friend, diverting his parents' wrath from his brother with his own body, remembering your history debates from years ago, loyal. Not once did he see another while engaged to you and you were sure he'll stay just as loyal within wedlock despite it being a union of convinience.
Sirius Orion Black: thinking for himself. Daring to ask, search, be curios and venture into the unknown. Heart on his sleeves, mind open wide, but not naive. Helping others for the sake of it – spiting his family, a welcomed bonus. Needing to prove himself in the most unseen, crazy ways.
Why did you knew so much about him? Why would you find yourself crying in your pillow, fondly smiling at the same time?
Where was he, anyway? Was he alright? Safe? Why did you care so much? Too much, not a normal way you'd be concerned about someone you know, someone that become some type of friend to you. No. It was a rising panic, a muffled cry blowing your ribcage. Your husband was surrounded by friends, all powerful witches and wizards, yet you couldn't stop the worry. The need to see him. Hug him. Burry your nose in the crock of his neck and...
A meaningful kiss.

Sirius gulped down the fifth shot at the muggle pub.
"Wow, Padfoot," Peter snickered. "Not even married for a day and already drinking to forget about it."
"Peter!" Lily admonished. "That is such a terrible thing to say. Stop laughing, James or I might give this back," the redhead stated without even blinking in her husband's direction. The bespectacled man straighten up and pushed the glass offered by Sirius away.
"You should stop, though, Pads. Firewhisky and muggle drinks won't mix well, mate."
Sirius rolled his eyes and called for another beer. He couldn't be sober. It mean he'd have to think. Look his heart in the eye and dare to roam through it.
Your passion to speak about a subject no one cares for, except for you. Your refrained giggles, so prone on following the etiquette. The loud, startling, noisy laugh when he tickled you with a feather a duck left behind on a park's pathway. How your body curled and moved chaotically, freely.
Your e/c glimmer when seeing a beautiful piece of art, an interesting sport downtown; when learning how to do something new like cooking or a hard crafted spell. The way raindrops catch in your hair and glint h/c in the light. The way your expression, so blank usually, swifts to raw emotion around those you feel good around; the maddening excitement when Sirius found out he is part of them.
"What's the problem, ey, Sirius?" Remus patted him on the back before snatching away the bevarage in front of him and helping himself.
The newly wed wizard made a sound of protest, but there was no way his friend would indulge him. "You know what, Remus," he seethed. "They finally did it. They turned me into their puppet! Ans the worst part yet? I'm not hating it as much as I should." Sirius' eyes widened and he brought his hands to his mouth, biting his fingers for spilling the beans on himself like that. An astonished silence passed around the table. But before anyone could say anything, the heir of the House of Black took off, slipping into Padfoot and exhausting himself with a long night run.
Melancholy
The sound of the tower's bells echoed in the night. Loud and agonizing, drumming on the walls of your dark room. And still, your heart felt heavier than the noise of London. Another hour has passed, another lost. Bringing you closer and closer to the dreadful morn'.
From your seat in front of the mirror, you looked closely at your face. You studied every muscle twitching with uneasiness, every curve of your bones and the softness of your chin, as your features were yet to sharpen in the likes of adulthood. You pressed your fingers to your tear glands, trying to push back the itching tears.
You didn't want to marry! You didn't want to start that stage of your life just yet. Knowing it'll happen one day since early childhood, you still wanted some time to live. Discover yourself, travel, be free of any responsability. But responsabilities were a part of your very being since the day you were born a pure blood baby in a noble family.
A heart wrecking scream fought to the surface, but years of proper manner practice forced it out as a whimper. You bowled your fists on the table, took a deep breath and resume your speech to your reflection. "You can do this, y/n. You have to. You will!"
Another ring of the huge clock in the city. Another hour passed. Bringing you closer your wedding.
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
Sirius paced around his bedroom, making sure to stomp his feet on the wooden floor as loud as possible. It was the only way he could show his deflection. His lips were subjected to torture from his teeth, as dozens of injuries flood his mind.
The wizard tapped his thighs with his long fingers, debating running away to the Potters. But he knew it'd only delay the inevitable. He would be married by the end of tomorrow. Well, today, actually, as a spiteful bang from afar was kind enough to remind him.
To no end would Sirius be fuming alone, raging at the unfairness of it all. At least his parents allowed James to come as his best man. Only James, the only pure blood he managed to befriend as the disappointment he was.
Gritting his teeth, Sirius sat on the edge of his bed. The mattress whined under the sudden, not so gentle, weight. Pulling and pushing with his fingers at his lips, he considered disappearing. Maybe somewhere in France, to their relatives there. Convince them to help him somehow. If he was to escape a Black arranged wedding, he needed the help of another Black.
That bang again! Raising the sun from its slumber. Too late now, he realized. He'd be a married man in no time.
New home
Sirius didn't even get down from his engine, playing with the unlit cigarette between his lips. It was the seventh house you were seeing today, since you decided to get a place for just the two of you a month earlier. And none so far was of your liking.
"You should come see it too," you said stepping down from the porch, the seller on your heels. But Sirius could already tell by the pout you tried to hide that the house wasn't it.
"Nah, chertè, I'm good. Hop up, let's go." He smiled to himself, spitting the cigar and turning on the engine.
"We still have some very good place you might like to see."
"I'm sure you do, but..." and with one last glance at you to confirm you weren't interested, Sirius sped up the road. After a while, when no one could see, the motorbike leapt from the ground and roamed the heights of London.
With Sirius' letter jacket wrapped around your shoulder and the sight of the town small under your feet, you laid your head on his back and fell asleep. The sound of whisper chattering woke you up, though, in the depth of night.
"You sure you want to wait?"
"Yeah, y/n has to see it, make sure it's good enough."
You peaked through your lashes at the apartment building Sirius was in front of. You couldn't see much: a dim lit hallway, a post box, a boring color and balconies all the way up. But something caught your eyes. The name Potter scribbled onto the list at the door. Of course Sirius would want to move in next to his best friend!
"Darling," you whispered softly. "You can buy it."
Ob(livious)vious
"Go, James!" Sirius' voice boomed next to you. On both your families' insistence you accompanied your husband at the Quiditch game. His best friend's team was playing. But you couldn't get into the spirit.
Sirius has been avoiding you like the plague. Not a single glance your way, not a single word spoken to you. As if all of a sudden you ceased to exist. He walked either fast in front of you, either slow behind and refused to acknowledge your presence. Not even to roll his eyes or make one of his snarky remarks. And as soon as you took your seats, Sirius switched places with Peter, after both Remus and Lily refused to.
It pained you. And you hated it. But there was no fighting the throttling clenching around your heart every time he ignored you. You should have been grateful, you would have been if you still hated him. But things changed and now you ached for his voice, his laugh, his unfiltered thoughts. Your head was spinning, nausea settling in from nights without sleep and days with no rest. It made you sick, the intensity of it all: confusion, love, crushed hope.
On the other side, Sirius fought his own battles. Against his own feelings. He couldn't be in love with the only person who wouldn't return it. He knew rejection well, within his family, and he knew he couldn't bear it from you. So Sirius decided to strangle it, the affection, the care, the like that became love. He'd keep his distance, guard his heart and eventually it must go away. Right?
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
After the game ended with James' victory, you all went to celebrate it. What both you and your husband failed to see, your friends picked on quickly. It wasn't even hard, to be honest. Lily watched Sirius glance at you every two seconds with a bemused smile plastered on her face. The redhead nudged her husband and the bespectacled young man snorted so loud you and Sirius locked gaze while turning to look at him. Remus rolled his eyes at both of your heartbeats fastening while your friends snickered annoyed behind your back, changing knowing sighs: if they confront you on your feelings, you'd deny it and of they try to push you to tell Sirius, you'd curse them. Peter seemed the only one as oblivious as the two of you, but the short lad asked about the tension he could strongly feel.
"Shut up, Wormy," Sirius mumbled. "You don't know anything."
"Oh, really?" James teased.
"I think Peter's right."
You turned to glare at y/f/n that simply sipped from the glass on the chair's arm and hummed. With the corner of your eye, you caught Sirius' quartz eyes boring into yours. He was looking for something on your face, you studied his for signs that what the others were saying might be true.
And if it was, what would that mean? After all, it was a marriage of convinience. And it can't be – shouldn't be – anything more. Or...?
Proposal
It was getting out of hand, Sirius thought from his spot in front of the chimney. His parents informed him of the little stunt they were about to perform with the y/l/ns. Why would he need to propose to you and all the papers already proclaimed your engagement? It's ridiculous!
But of course when he brought it up with his parents, Orion and Walburga dismissed his complaints as if he wasn't their son, but another piece of furniture in the house they could place wherever they wanted, however they wanted or even get rid of.
"Because, son, it is the respectful thing to do. The y/l/ns aren't just anybody."
"Oh, don't bother, Orion!" Walburga scoffed. "He wouldn't understand the delicate art of courting if we carve it in his brain. You will propose to y/n, boy, end of discussion."
So, here he was now, mumbling to himself while waiting for his family to go to the fancy restaurant on Diagon Alley where he'd pop the big question in front of gauging eyes. How delightful!
You weren't having a better time either. The announcement was just made a week ago and all the attention it shade on you was bothering to no end.
"I just don't get why we can't skip it, mom," you tried for the millionth time. "Every body already knows. And if we show up in public together it'll be good enough to cement it."
"No, it won't, dear. You cannot show yourself with someone who hasn't make his intention clear. And he shouldn't either."
"Dad?" The desperate yet hopeful cry for help was met with a simple grunt followed by 'listen to your mother' as your father slumped back into his chair, turning the page of his book. Fantastic!
The evening finally came and with it the glaring moment of your little show. Sirius played his part too well. Exagerating a large gesture, he popped open a small box and dropped to a knee next to your chair. You hoped his hands would slip and loose the ring, that way the fault would be on him and you'd get away from this situation. Or that at least he'd pull the fata de masa with him as he moved, lighten up your sour mood. But Sirius moved swift as a panther. Elegant. Royal, even.
The pathetic 'yes' you had at ready wouldn't do after his poetic speech. You vaguely wondered if someone wrote it for him, but snaped out of your head as you realized it was your turn. Pretending to gasp, you covered your mouth with your hands, pinching your cheeks right under your eyes to gather some tears, feigning overwhelming happiness. You shook your head enthusiastically, mimicking a loss of words. When you finally chocked out a booming "Yes!" the whole room started clapping.
That was it, your status fixed in the wizarding society. Judging by the cloudy gaze of Sirius' grey eyes, he wasn't any happier.
Quarrels
"Grow up!" You shouted, probably loud enough for the whole street to hear.
"Learn to take a joke, Merlin!" He retorted.
You huffed annoyed and belittled him: "Of course you can only joke around, even when it's not appropriate. You're Sirius bloody Black, the same stupid, silly prankster you've always been!"
Sirius made a sound of protest. The whole fake relationship you had to present to the public eyes eating him alive. But he tried. Despite what his parents – or you – had to say, he actually really tried. He didn't see anything wrong with a small prank on April first. James and Lily still had their fun, why can't you have why they have? It wasn't even a bad, humiliating one, like all the ones he pulled at Hogwarts with his friend. Sirius went easy on you, thinking it was something you'd enjoy. If you'd ever loosen that stiff allure of the perfect heir.
"At least I have lived my life..."
"Because you're so old now, huh?"
"Not old, but clearly not living anymore. But that's fine. I have memories to go back to and remember good times. Do you, oh, perfect, mature, y/n?"
"Shut up! You don't know what you're talking about."
"Ah, really?" Sirius mocked. "Well, then, tell me. What am I talking about? The perfect grades you sacrificed any spare time for? While us, the normal people, celebrated Halloween, you locked yourself in the potion cabinet until you got the right mix. While we wandered the castle and discovered new rooms, you stayed in your place and followed the rules. What did it bring you, hm? Fulfilness? Happiness? Do you feel the adrenaline of a life lived coursing trough or are you just existing, y/n?"
Sirius' voice grew in intensity until it reached a wild scream. Eyes wide, mouth curled into a mean grin, he looked at you expectantly. But you couldn't even make sense of your mingled thoughts, much less answer him. All you could muster was a weak "shut up", as your throat tightened in a strangled grip to hold back your tears.
"Ah, right. Cry now. I bet no one's ever talked to you like that. Only praises for the good, little heir."
"It's not my fault you choose to rebel. Could've been a good son too, Sirius, and maybe you wouldn't have known how certain spells feel like." You bit out the words, regretting them as soon as they left your mouth. But you stood your ground. Sirius didn't regret his words. And he hurt you too. You don't have to take and take and take without firing some back.
"Low blow, y/n," Sirius said lowly. "Low blow."
"And you just get to tell me I don't have a life like that? You don't think I know that? But you don't know me, Sirius! You don't get to critic my choices."
Respect
Sirius mumbled incoherently in his fist. He couldn't believe he was engaged to someone like you: an artificial excuse of a human being, posing as a good, little pure blood, despite all the wrongs of it. There was nothing he wanted more than to escape the dinner with your family at his house and get in some trouble with the marauders. But that was quite the task he couldn't yet manage.
A trail of house elves made their way in to clean the table. One of them spilled some of the firewhisky onto the expensive carpet. Sirius caught your growing eyes right before you shut them tight and flinched as Walburga's wand pointed to the elf. The scream shattered your entire being to the core and you sucked in a breath you waited a long while to release.
Later that evening, Sirius found you in the kitchens as he tried to sneak out. You led your wand over the hurt elf's body, brows furrowed in concentration as you whispered healing spells. The young man leaped back in surprise, mind working confused to make sense of it.
He may not have been fond on house elves, but seeing you help the little one made him think you are more than an annoying, smug thing after all. And the realization doesn't make him like you, not a bit. But it tells him to respect you.
Safety
You picked at the dry skin around your nails. Fear build up in your gut, ready to explode into tears at any moment. Your shoulders stiff, your spine straightening as far back as possible. Sirius and you have just moved in together. And you've never been alone with him for so long. Much less live with him. What were you supposed to do? How to act?
You knew how to navigate the wizarding world. All the rules and expectations, different in each place. Be nice and respectful to your fellow students, yet take care strictly of them as a prefect to be praised as an example at Hogwarts. Be steady in your believes and not associate with half bloods or muggle borns, don't embarrass your family name, learn the proper manners, dances, speech, to be praised as a perfect heir.
But you didn't know how were you supposed to be with Sirius. So far, he had no demands. You were yourself, growing on his side as he grew on yours. He watched you, learned you, being more than happy to see you discover your authentic self and gain confidence in being it shamelessly. And you loved him as he was. But it surely couldn't be like that anymore. There must be rules to follow. It was one thing having fun together for a couple of hours each day, but this was different. This were the two of you building a life together. And how could that be without patterns to follow?
Anxiety arose in your chest, making it almost impossible to breath. It was then when you heard the gentle shut of the door and the clicking of keys, as Sirius came home. You froze, to overcome with fear to pass coherent information to your brain. When Sirius found you paralyzed in the middle of the room, he thought you hexed yourself by mistake. Then he remembered how skilled you were and pushed the thought aside.
"Y/n? Something wrong?"
You pressed your lips together, breath hitching in your throat as you let out a hopeless whimper. You swallowed hard, trying to ease your nerves and tried to speak again. In vain.
Sirius frowned. Closing the space between you, he placed his hands on your shoulders and rubbed gently. When he didn't feel you resist his touch, the wizard pulled you in a tight hug. One of his hands circled your middle as the other pressed at the back of your head, holding you so close, yet not close enough. And as your body went limp in his embrace, calming down bit by bit, you thought that your worries were miscalculated at worst, exagerated at best.
Trust
Sirius shifted from foot to foot as he walked tightly with your hand in his. His thumb rubbed circles over the back of your palm, but it was more to help ground himself than to sooth you. Even though you needed to have a clear plan for the day, when Sirius asked to meet him at James apartment to show you something, you accepted. But now that you were there, it seemed Sirius needed to calm his nervousness more than you did.
"What's wrong?"
"Hm? Nothing. Nothing's wrong. Why do you say that?" He usually did a much better job at hiding his emotions, which is why you suspected he wanted you to know how much this – whatever it is – means to him. So you lifted an eyebrow and chuckle softly.
"Come on, what is it? What can possibly be so bad about what you're going to show me? It's not like you're a criminal. Or, are you?
Your attempt to loosen him up worked, much to your surprise. And Sirius, now more confident, led you to a garage next to the apartment building. A place, he informed you, where muggles take their noisy transportation objects when they broke. Your brows scrunched up in confusion, but you remained silent. You got to a point with your relationship to Sirius – you still couldn't believe you actually called it that nowadays – became strong enough to confine in one another.
"Ok," he said, "I need you to keep an open mind with this. Don't let tge pure blood instincts kick in, alright.?"
You nod, suspiciously and wait for the garage door to open, revealing a bunch of dirty, oily stuff, of different shapes and sizes, placed neatly in iron boxes. In the middle of the room, there was an odd looking thing: two wheels, an uncomfortable looking seat, mirrors on the sides and a manner to control it, you guessed.
Looking up to Sirius, pearls shone in his eyes. He watched that thing with so much adoration it scared you. "Sirius?"
He smiled down at you and tugged you inside. "Come, y/n, meet the other love of my life."
If you weren't too confused trying to figure out what you were looking at, you might have caught the slip in his speech. But you didn't, instead waiting for an explanation.
"It's a motorbike." And, when you gave away no reaction, Sirius continued: "It's a muggle way to travel, like a car – I told you about those – but smaller. And cooler."
"Looks dangerous. What if you fall off?"
Sirius rolled his eyes. "You sound like Lily."
You fought a scorn at being compare to the muggle born. As you got closer and closer to Sirius, you found yourself discovering his ideas weren't as bad or crazy as the pure bloods believed. And you actually enjoyed his friends company.
"Fine, fine," you raise your hands in defeat. "Tell me more. What aboyt this motorbike?"
"James got it for me on my birthday. It was all rusty and barely working, but he said that's the nice part. I get to fix it and model it as I want." He stopped to laugh at the face you made. "I thought so too, but then I actually started to work on it and he was right. It's not finished yet, I have to polish it so the color won't wear off and work some more on its chains, but..." Sirius trailed off, losing his train of thoughts when he got overwhelmed by the object. It seemed the bike meant more to him than simply a gift from his bestfriend. Or a way to make another statement against his parents, owning a muggle invention.
"It's important because you worked on it," you stated. "Isn't it?"
He nodded, comforted, though not any less surprised, that you understood it. "Yes. It's like, like it's part of me. That's why I want to add a little magic to it as well. My engine will fly, y/n."
As he spoke, his stormy eyes beamed like fresh dew in the morning. "I wanted to share it with you, but my family can't know, y/n. They'll make a big deal out of it, take it from me even."
You nodded. Of course they would! Until Sirius marries and takes over the title of Head of the House, he is still under his parents' iron hand rule. By sharing his hidden passion with you, he stripped himself of his carefully built shields, becoming vulnerable in your presence. You smiled at the thought.
"Thank you. For bringing me here. It's really nice, Sirius. I can't wait to see it in the sky."
Understanding
Several days passed since you and Sirius fought. His words hunted you just like your own did. You knew you shouldn't have said all those things, but you were bitter. And the hurt and pain in his quartz eyes fed a dark part of yourself even you were scared of. And yet, you still couldn't bring yourself to apologize first.
The wizard betrothed to you, though, hated how much the fight weight on him. He wished he could only be angry, but guilt too nibbled at his mind. Sirius saw the panic in your eyes when you realized what you said. You didn't mean it, of course. But he did. He meant what he spat at you and it made his heart clench with the realization. He's not any better than dark wizards, taking pleasure in other's pain.
Sirius munched over his thoughts. Slick, jelly thoughts wrapping around everything he tried to unlearn and squeezing it all off and out his mind. Maybe he did deserve the curses thrown at him. He could have played his part, like Regulus. Be a proper Black and spare himself the misery of his childhood. But then, he wouldn't have his friends anymore. The joyous marauders. Always there for him, need be or not. And how can his treacherous mind betray them like that? Forgetting all his promises of loyalty.
The young man wanted to scream. One side of his sickening mind told him you were right. His parents and dark, vile family were right all along. While the other fought hard to keep him sane, his thoughts clean of the ordeals of his past. He knew better now. He knew real love and affection and maybe he could find it in him to forgive you for acting out on your anger. It seems like you didn't learn the beautiful lessons he did by his friends' side.
You were surprised to see Sirius at your door one afternoon. Though you shouldn't be, really. Orion and Walburga must have insisted too much time went on since you two showed up together in society. People start talking. Never a good sign.
"I'm sorry," you blurted out before even giving him the chance to step inside. He seemed baffled, but took it as an invitation to jump right in the reason of the visit.
"I'm sorry too, y/n. Shouldn't have said all those things..."
"No, no," you spoke over him flustered. "It's me who stepped out the line."
"I got carried away." The two of you said at the same time. And the stretched nerves snapped into an unstoppable fit of laughter.
"I mean it, though," you were the first to speak again once silence set over the room. "It's not your fault, what your parents did do you, what they put you through... it's horrible and has no reason or excuse."
Sirius nodded. "It's still hard to accept it sometimes. But I know it's true. Even when I don't believe it, I still know." You nodded along with him, showing you followed his words, though you couldn't quite grasp it. Before you had a chance to process it better, his voice, now soft, yet still filling the room in its embrace, rose once more:
"And I also know now that I was an idiot to hold your own childhood against you. Couldn't have much of a choice, I imagine."
"The choice was there, I guess," you shrugged, lifting only one shoulder. "It always is. Could have rebel like you. They might not have hurt me, but they would have disowned me. I wasn't strong enough to. I still am not... Strong enough to go against their word, that's it."
Once more, Sirius nodded, debating rather he should take this step in bringing you closer or not. But the decision was mostly made anyway, way before he even found the words to express it. He broke into a mischievous grin and leaned forward. "I'll show you," he promised.
Vulnerable
It was a warm afternoon. The unusual time brought you and Sirius on the garden atop your apartment building. Lounged on the roof, a spell in place to make sure you won't fall, you threaded your fingers through Sirius' beautiful long hair. He fell asleep in your arms, head on your chest, one arm under your waist and another at the base of your neck.
You marveled at the sight. Even more unusual than the good weather. His chest moved slowly, even breath after even breath brushing softly over your skin. His mouth was relaxed, his tongue finally untensed from its spot on the roof of his mouth. Sirius's features softened when he slept, his body loosening its twitching flex of muscles from over the day. His eyes didn't move between his eyelids, his brows weren't a single bit furrowed. Just a small smile tugged at his lips.
It scared you the first time it happened. Seeing him in this calm state, knowing he wanted you to. You didn't know what to do, being caught off guard. What did it meant? Were you getting closer? Friendlier? Or was it more? You didn't know how you felt about it, either. You begin to like Sirius more and more, but this closeness all of a sudden made you uncomfortable. You've never cared for someone like that, like a protector to keep them safe in a week state. It has always been you the one sheltered and coddled.
Leaning down on your back, glaring lovingly at the sun, you sighed in content. The person you were weeks ago, no more. You came to love how Sirius allowed himself to be himself around you. Letting you in charge of your life and boundaries. Appreciating your strength.
Wicked
It was no secret the marauders were a tedious group to deal with. They wrecked havoc for seven years straight at the magic castle and still managed to keep themselves on the good side of the teachers. Damned be their charm!
So it wasn't an exageration on your part to thread carefully around your betrothed. You were forced to spent time with him in the hopes you'd warm up to each other by the wedding date. Quite unlikely, you both thought. And didn't know how wrong you were!
For how could either of you guess you'd fall for the other when Sirius was such a filthy prankster, a shame for the pure blood wizards and yourself nothing but a boring one, without any trace of personality?
The first days together were a pain for both of you, never having been happier to drop onto your beds and forget about everything. Even though expected, Sirius' pranks still caught you off guard. A smelling bomb, hexed to last for a whole week, a sticky jelly glued to your hair that barely came off without taking your y/h/c locks with it, an annoying howler that worked like an alarm for the weirdest, cringiest things in the most improper of times and so many others. You lost count.
That piece of wizard scum had to be taught a lesson! But you haven't the mind of an evil prankster to aid you. So you did what you learned best from the noble society you were born and raised into.
Sirius walked unknowingly into your trap when you invited him over to your favorite restaurant for a special dinner. He didn't know what that was, nor did he care. All he wanted was to be done with quicker. No little was his surprise when he opened the door of the place to a dark, wet forest. Of the likes of the forbidden forest at Hogwarts. Him and his friends explored it several times, of course. But this one was your doing. Designed by your imagination that haven't seen a patch of its twin Sirius was familiar with.
Streaks of spells came his way, prompted by your swift wand movement. Predators long since gone came to be around him as extinct dangerous plants blossomed at his feet. It was all a mirage. Nothing could actually hurt him, nor could he feel pain. But fear caused Sirius to act regardless. Fighting off invisible threats.
When you finally lowered the spell he was met with amused pairs of eyes. Dozens of wizards and witches witness to the show that he become. Red with embarrassment, he vowed to take his revenge. Which he did, cruel and wicked, starting the biggest fight you'd ever have.
Xylographic (the art of engraving wood)
You smiled up at him encourragely. A while ago you both decided to go to an engraving shop and get special wooden rings. Sirius thought such things should be a surprise, but you argued it can be a nice afternoon together, each of you giving and receiving a gift at the end. Besides, the words or symbols you put on the rings would be a secret 'til the end.
Sirius reluctantly agreed, so here you were now. You were smoothening the already smooth piece of paper in your hands, excited to put the words on Sirius' ring. Your husband on the other hand wrinkled his note with sweaty palms, tapping his foot nervously on the cracking floor.
Finally, the old couple owning the shop came into view. You went with the old man, while the nice lady motioned for Sirius to follow him. You watched mesmerized how the craftman worked. His wand stiff in his hands, carving the wood in silence with upmost delicacy. The phrase you prepared for Sirius begin to get a beautiful round shape around the bend. The brightest star can't match the bright soul. At the end, the old wizard brushed his fingers over, cleaning the small splinters away. He then polished the ring and placed it into your open hand with a soft smile.
You waited for Sirius by the counter, buzzing with excitement. You couldn't wait to give him his gift. Nor could he, you realized, when he strolled over to you, picked you up and kissed you hard on the lips, turning around on the spot.
You exchanged the rings outside, after you paid your due, eyes close to not cheat. Sirius counted to three, you both opened your eyes. Though you weren't checking out your gift, wanting to see your husband's reaction. His eyes cleared of the storm they usually bathed into, gleaming like the gems they were, filling with tears. He looked at you, locking your gazes, hoping you understood what he couldn't articulate.
You smiled at him and broke the gaze to brush it over the curved letters on the inside of your smooth, shining ring. Hiccups shook your body periodically as you pushed your body into his, letting him know your feelings through the dead grip you had on him. There are no moments lost in life.
Yearning
You watched Sirius laughing with his friends, emanating genuine warmth. You already said goodbye to yours and waited for him to walk you home as a suitor should. The Quidditch match was good, but already a distant memory as you replaced all the sensations of the day with those minutes of Sirius between the marauders.
James, he hugged tight. The men patted each others back and you wished Sirius would be as vulnerable around you. Lily, he gave a side hug, pulling her close with an arm hanging casually around her neck from behind. And jealousy strung your heart's chords, picturing yourself in her place. The ease with which Sirius shook Remus' hand, the gesture turning into a hug on its own accord left you longing for that affection. The playfulness he showed towards Peter, messing the shortest marauder hair and patting his shoulders made you wish for more in your relationship with the Black heir.
But you couldn't ask for it. It has to be natural. It'd never be. After all, he Sirius didn't want this marriage. Neither did you... or so you wanted to believe.
Zenith (highest point)
You and Sirius walked next to each other on the dark, narrow alley. Your hand itched to clasp his and, maybe, if he allowed it, entwin your fingers. Snuggle your body to his side against the cold, breath in his smell and sigh contently as he wraps an arm around you, drawing circles on your own arm with his palm to warm you up.
Sirius dared a quick glance at you. He didn't want to admit that he wished he could tap your shoulder and turn your attention to him. Lean in and planting a kiss to your lips, nuzzling his cold nose in the warm crock of your neck. Pull you into his body and hug you tightly until you both forget about the chilly night around you. You wouldn't need light, he thought, you'd just feel. And you'd be home.
Your fingers toyed in the nest of your joined palms in front of you. The silence was overbearing. You needed to say something or your mind would implode. Except, what were you to say? There is not a time that you remember when you were so nervous and tongue tied as now.
Before finding the right starter for a conversation, a thunder broke the sky. It was a useless warning, for, as soon as the sound evaporated in the air, sharp and heavy rain begin to fall. The big droplets attacked the unlucky few still out on the London's streets at such an unholy hour.
"Shit," you whispered and Sirius couldn't help the sneaker vibrating through his throat.
"It's just water, y/n," he laughed, tilting his head back and catching the rain on his tongue in bliss. You watched him entranced, lips parted to make the fastening breathing easier.
Suddenly, his fingers curled around your wrist, gripping it tighter and moving your body around him. Sirius guided you in a silly dance, jumping over puddles, trying to sway in between the drops, as impossible as you both knew it was. You closed your eyes, allowing yourself to get lost in the feeling. The cold punctures on your skin, the warmth of the man you realized you love at your side, the purity of the moment, the intensity of it all.
Sirius took a wet lock of hair between his fingers, pulling it off your forehead. Smiling down at you, he leaned over to shield you from the rain. You shook your head, a teasing chuckle echoing in the small space between the two of you. Without warning, you jumped to the side and ran. Sirius gasped, hot on your heels.
He chased you. He chased you and he was enjoying it as much as you did. You couldn't remember playing as a child and could bet he didn't have many such core memories either. At least not until Hogwarts. So you dragged the game on for as long as you could. You led him through parks and between tall buildings, through public gardens and parking lots. Until you were soaked to the bone and found shelter under the roof of a small, closed, muggle shop.
"Merlin," Sirius said out of breath once he caught up with you. His hands rested on his hips, forehead pressed to the top of your head. "Got you."
You beamed up at him then you both burst out laughing. "That was," you sighed, "amazing. The whole day was so fun, Sirius."
"Told you you'd like it." His mumble was deafened by the howler of the rain. He pulled back, just in time to see you roll your eyes, before noting your shivers. Gently, he pulled back, placing his leather jacket on your shoulders.
"Thanks."
Sirius nodded, but his sight became hooded. Lost. As did yours, staring into each other eyes. The whole day you both tried to avoid each other. Thinking that the growing feelings weren't reciprocated. Hoping to smother them down. And failing miserably.
Now? Now neither of you could hide it anymore. The pain in your chests, needing each other for solace. Sirius leaned in as you pushed your head up, the sounds of the street dizzying into one collective noise, dimmed by the butterflies inside yourselves. All you could hear was Sirius' hoarse breath. All he could hear was yours ragged one.
Your foreheads touched first. Then your noses bumped, getting a breathy, short laugh out of each of you. His palm cam to pressure at the back of your neck, holding you in place, as his other arm snaked around your waist. Your own hands smothered his shoulders before entwining fingers at his back.
When your mouths met, your lips parted and stretched into two wide smiles. Your teeth clicked together as you kissed, pulling apart for air only to lock your lips back in joyous, honest kisses.

Ok I had this idea and needed to share it before I forget it lol! How do you think poly!James, Sirius and Remus would react if their S/o were a foreign student, who talks to everyone in the other houses but is especially embarrassed to talk to them because the s/o has a crush on them?
[[Warnings: Yandere Themes *Obviously*, Hogwarts University AU 18+, The guys and you being oblivious idiots, fluffy stuff, one tiny mention of fighting someone.]
It starts off with them noticing you for the first time, likely it was hearing your accent which was much different to what they were used to.
They start noticing you everywhere whether they are together or apart they all see you in every place they go.
Watching you longingly as you talk to people in various houses and years but you never approach them to have a conversation.
In fact it starts to hurt a little bit because they take it as you are purposefully avoiding them, and maybe subconsciously you are.
Mostly because you of course noticed them too from your very first day but they were so ridiculously attractive to you that you couldn’t bring yourself to get any closer.
Anytime someone brought them up and told you a tale of what they had gotten up to in the castle, including but not limited to their hilarious pranks you would have to hide your true feelings not wanting them to find out about your silly crush.
There was one person who you did confide in and that was your closest friend Lily Evans, who took you under her wing to help you get used to your new surroundings.
Quickly noticing how you would look at them, and how you would change the subject whenever they were brought up, fully understanding what was going on with you.
Offering to introduce you to the guys you instantly balked and started waving your hands around telling her no, asking how she figured it out.
Lily could only chuckle since she was incredibly observant and you weren’t always as great at hiding it as you thought you were, or maybe she was just getting used to reading your body language.
Overhearing Lily asking you about your crush the next day at lunch when you came over to sit with her, they can’t help but feel the jealousy bubble up as they tried to listen for any context clues on who it might be.
Already thinking of ways to intimidate them into staying away from you, fully ready to prank the living hell out of the person you liked not realizing that you were talking about them.
Elbowing Lily you whispered for her not to talk about it within earshot of them so sure that if they found out they would make fun of you for your feelings.
Leaving for class after lunch they cornered Lily and begged her to tell them who you liked, instantly making her smile as she saw the fervor of their expressions, understanding all too well that they felt the same for you at that moment.
Biting her lower lip as she debated whether or not she should tell them, thinking that it could lead to you getting what you wanted even if you were nervous about it actually happening.
Finally giving in and admitting that you had a crush on them, which was why you tried to stay as far away from them as possible, you were really shy and they were really over the top so you didn’t know how to handle it.
Reassured by Lily’s response they thank her and start to grin widely as all this time they thought you hated them for some weird unknown reason, but in reality you felt something for them like they did for you.
Throwing ideas out back and forth to figure out what would be the right way to approach you would be, since it was going to be up to them to make the first move, that much became instantly clear.
James comes up with the idea that he would talk to Lily and have her set up a time and place to meet with you after classes that evening, only they would be the ones showing up for the encounter.
Thankfully she was in his class that period and in exchange for leaving Snape alone for two whole weeks she agreed to help set everything up.
In her next one she was with you so she asked if you wanted to hang out, and you both agreed to meet after dinner down by the black lake so you could do some studying together before dark.
Lost in thought as you walked down to rendezvous with Lily you were surprised when she wasn’t there yet, she almost always got to places before you and you could have sworn she left dinner earlier than you did.
Standing there you weren’t expecting to suddenly be surrounded by the three of them, basically encircling you so that you couldn’t escape before they had a chance to actually speak with you this time.
James started first introducing himself, proceeding to introduce the others as well pointing to them as if you didn’t already know who they were, like their names didn’t pop into your mind a million times a day.
Awkwardly you gave your name back to them, anxiously looking down at your hands which were fidgeting under the slight duress you were under having suddenly been thrust into a conversation with the guys you had long admired from afar.
Remus could tell how nervous you were by their presence and patted your shoulder reassuringly letting you know that they came in peace they only had good intentions for being there.
Sirius rolled his eyes slightly understanding that he probably had the right idea but it was just going to confuse you more if they didn’t come clean and tell you what they were up to.
Deciding to just up and tell you that they had seen you around and they really wanted to get to know you if you would let them, adding that they thought you were incredibly adorable causing your cheeks to heat up intensely.
James was worried that the bluntness of his words would scare you off but instead you seemed incredibly flattered mixed with a bit of awkwardness not having a clue how to respond to that.
Finally nodding and saying that you would really like that, and that you also thought that they were adorable, especially since they went through all that trouble of roping Lily into their plot.
Shocked when they realized you had figured it out without them telling you, looking slightly ashamed at each other rubbing the backs of their necks causing you to giggle at the sight.
Remus asked if you wanted to take a walk with them before heading back to the Castle, eagerly you accepted, feeling even more warmth grow as he and James placed a hand into each of yours, Sirius taking his other hand as the four of you walked, each step forward was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
[I needed to do some fluff and what better way than with my boys being sweet and oblivious. I hope that you enjoy this and that it was close to what you were wanting! <3]
